To start off, I'm an adult collector of Bratz and Barbie Dream Besties dolls, so I'm always stoked to see new sets come out. Brooklyn is super cute in this set! She comes with everything advertised, though I am curious if I could use the curlers in a way to actually curl doll hair. The curlers double as storage, so you can stick all the little accessories inside. One of the curlers, specifically the blue one, has the pink and purple chalk in it. The chalk goes into her hair pretty well, though I didn't snap a picture of it.Articulation is on par with the other dolls in the Dream Besties line, though there were a few discrepancies with the plastic quality of her legs and arms. On her arms, it seemed like there were scratches or something similar along the plastic. Her legs have a weird film(?) that goes up to her mid thigh. There's a noticeable line where it changes. I tried to get a good picture of it, but it wasn't showing up as prominently as it does in person.Other than those flaws, I think she's a great addition to any collection of any age! A great project for kids to customize her, or for us adults to display her.

The Barbie Dream Besties is a new spin-off line of the classic Barbie doll, focusing on the characters personalities, dreams and aspirations that can be relatable with kids as well. As the sets name indicates (Get Ready with Barbie), this set focuses on a classic play pattern with kids, which is dress up and hair play. Kids can help Barbie “Brooklyn” Roberts get her ready for a fun night out with friends or any occasion. The fully posable doll comes dressed in a fun pink robe and pink teddy bear platform slippers, as well as a pink head band with a purple hair roller on top (which is hiding a big pink ruber bow) and has nice thick dark brown crimped saran hair styled in a half-up ponytail, but does have a middle part when undone. The set has more than 15+ play pieces, including a full second outfit (Blue sparkly dress with a bubble skirt, paired with pink platform heels) to finish her transformation. Other accessories include a cucumber mask, heart hair pins, hair ties, pretend make up, ring light with removable phone and doll sized hair comb. You also get 3 additional hair rollers that can be used to pretend to set her hair like you would at a salon, but whats also cool about them is that two (pink and yellow) work as storage for the small accessories that are not in use (except for the hair comb). The blue hair roller is the one that has the hair chalk, where you can add pink/purple streaks to Barbies hair and can be washed out using soap. (note that the hair chalk is only meant to be used with the doll and not on human hair)Overall this is a great set, there is lots of pieces where you can create endless hairstyles and can be used with other dolls as well. The clothing is nothing special, since the real focus is on the styling of the hair, but the blue dress looks super cute on the doll. Another feature that I liked was the rollers becoming storage for the accessories, you rarely see toys or dolls incorporating these kind of thing in newer toys and I wish more companies would do this more often for easier clean up. Would highly recommend this set for any kid that likes this play pattern, as well to collecters who love to restyle their dolls.
