Great Little Corners
I bought these to make custom wind shield for my fire pit. Although they aren’t perfect they definitely do the job. The finish is just plain aluminum and if you use anything less then 3/8” glass, you might have issues with the screws not holding. For my situation they worked great and the price was right.

Will work with 3/8 glass
Worked well. I just hope the silicone gummies that hold the glass don’t melt

Very good value for price - minor adjustments needed
I bought these brackets to make my own DIY fire pit glass shield. I did this for two reasons - purchased glass shields are way too expensive (would cost me ~$200-$250 for what I would need) and I have non-standard fire pit which made finding an appropriate commercial item very difficult and even more expensive. So, after some research I bought four pieces of glass 2 each, 20" and 40" by 6", ¼" thick tempered glass (total cost: $49, including high CA sales tax) and these brackets. The Good:1) Very good price compared with all the alternatives (about $3.50/each including tax)2) Aluminum - so it will not rust due to elements and should last a long timeThe Not-So-Good (here I don't mean 'Bad', just not so good):1) It's made for 8-10 mm glass and I only used ¼" glass. I wish they made a version for ¼" glass. But since I knew this going in, I ended up using clear silicone cabinet bumpers ( Amazon: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07NM1P2F6/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_D8SG2XS47DHHM1FNTWBZ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 ). The screws have similar silicone at the tips so the glass isn't damaged, so this provided protection on both sides of the glass2) This is a wish list item: I think they should provide a little 'lip' at one end of the bracket so the glass can sit against it. This would make placement of the glass much more uniform and repeatable. In the photos, the first two have the brackets on each corner. The ones with the fire turned on don't have the top brackets. I was eager to try them as soon as I could. As you can see, the lack of top brackets give the shield a 'clean' look but also makes them uneven since the glass shifts with heat. So, in the end I opted to put brackets on all corners for stability and sacrifice the look a little.I hope this helps others who are contemplating buying this brackets.
