Wish there was better instructions on how to actually use it

I cannot say how this product works, because the ridiculous instructions were so unbelievably vague and left you having no idea if you assembled it properly! they need to understand that most people are new to laser cutters/engravers and should really add much more detailed instructions!

This laser engraving machine is great! I have several other lasers and got this one as it was a lower wattage - as such, it allows me to engrave things much finer than my higher wattage lasers. I attached a few pics showing the result...really nice sharp engravings. Even down to fine text. The machine is REALLY inexpensive for what you get and what it does. It was pretty easy to setup, just go slow - it helps to watch a few setup videos online though. Coming from a maker who does this with many other lasers...this little laser is a definite nice addition and I recommend it - 5 stars from me!

Buenas tardes, la máquina se ve que es muy buena calidad, pero venía de fabrica suelto el lente de aumento del láser la rosca que trae el apriete de este venía suelto y se me rallo el lente y no deja pasar el láser a su alta potencia, trate de de retornarlo pero sale más caro el transporte de envío que la misma máquina. Y por lo tanto no pude pedir la garantía de esta. Agradeciendo por la atención que fue muy favorable al hacer el auxilio técnico. Pero no la pude retornar para su respectivo cambio.

Instructions for assembly horrible, had to search youtube. Software not compatible with iPad. They say there’s an app but fail to name the actual app so another hunt begins. Beyond frustrated already and I can’t even get the software. The IP address no longer exists that they provide.

The media could not be loaded. This is an extremely excellent laser engraver for it’s price – just an amazing value. I work regularly with another engraver that is literally 10x more expensive than this, and is harder to use than this one. This Two Trees engraver is really straightforward and bare bones, but it works very well for what it does. In my pictures, the test image was etched at 1500mm/sec at 20% power – with 3 passes (pictures of 1, 2, and 3 passes). The video is just of the 3rd pass. Since there are many other reviews, I’ll quickly list the pros and cons. Pros: 1) Very good manual. I read other reviews of how the instructions were not good. . . but I felt the instructions were very good. Much better than Ikea furniture instructions. I assembled the entire engraver using ONLY the manual, and no videos, and I felt it was very straightforward. There are a few parts where you need to look very closely at the pictures, and once or twice where you need to make an assumption, but it’s fairly obvious. I included some pictures. The manual ALSO includes some recommended power settings, which I tested a few of, and seem very appropriate. It ALSO includes how to get started with LaserGRBL (free software), and is very clear and helpful. One caveat is that I am fairly technical, and I am not new at building things like this. The most important part I will draw your attention to is adjusting the eccentric nuts on the gantry correctly. 2) The laser, if focused well and operated with proper speed/power, gives a very clear, fine, near perfect etching. I used to think more power was better, but this is half the power of my expensive engraver, and gives much cleaner, sharper engravings. 3) It uses the MakerBase LS ESP32 Pro v1.1 GRBL control card. This is a highly capable card and very reputable. If you are technically minded, you can tinker with it to upgrade firmware, install end stops (this engraver doesn’t come with any), add compressed air, add a display, etc. Basically, this is a somewhat tinkerable/upgradable system. It comes with a compressed air attachment piece, as well as a spare laser shield for use with compressed air – but doesn’t come with the actually compressed air system. 4) When you turn it on, it just turns on … no fuss. It just works. My other (expensive) engraver is a pain to get going due to it’s finicky software. So, this one clearly wins. 5) It comes with good OD 5 laser glasses. They are green, and I usually associate green glasses with red lasers, not blue, but this one really does knock out all of the stray reflection of this blue laser. Usually laser glasses for blue lasers are colored orange, and indeed the ring around the actual laser is orange on this engraver. However, these green glasses must be designed to also work for blue as well as red (notched filter), because they really do indeed cut out the blue light as much as my orange OD5 glasses do. The orange ring surrounds the beam well enough that you won’t accidentally glance at it, unless you purposely try to. Now the few cons: 1) It doesn’t come with riser feet, which it really should. The laser has a good range of height adjustment to it, but riser feet would be nice if you need to put a honeycomb beam catcher underneath, like I did (you can see in my pictures). I just propped it up on spare 2x4 boards. 2) It doesn’t come with a honeycomb beam catcher, or aluminum plate. Basically, as it comes out of the box, you can only etch with it. If you try to cut, there is nothing to protect your work surface from the beam once it penetrates through. I’m sure this is to keep cost down or so you will by this part separately. I highly recommend having one. 3) The focus method is a bit janky, but it works. It has a little puck that you place under the laser, and adjust to different heights for engraving or cutting at different thicknesses. 4) There are no end stops, so you can’t really have an auto homing system. Indeed, in LaserGRBL, homing is automatically disabled. You need to manually align (in LaserGRBL) and set your home point for each piece. I’m not sure this is really a con though, since I tend to set new home points frequently, depending on what the project is. 5) The way the wires route from the controller to the laser head is not very pretty. They just loop up high over the top of the piece, and they barely have enough length to allow the laser head to glide across the entire work plane. All of the cable management is not very elegant, actually. It does come with a lot of zip ties to help you. Overall, for the price, this is really an excellent laser engraver. If you are brand new to engraving, there will definitely be a learning curve, but if you are technically inclined, I absolutely would recommend this if you’re looking to save some money. The important parts – laser engraves precisely, it interfaces well with control software – really are there. Considering the excellent price, I’m not going to take off any stars for the “cons” listed above. They are all just part of being a low-cost system, but it definitely works very well. 5 stars.

This product was not user friendly unfortunately had to return.

Bought this machine Jan 6th, it took a few weeks to figure it out. Used it for 3 days. Made a few small projects and the laser stopped burning. Replaced the product for a new one, worked about 4 days and the laser stopped working AGAIN. I'm the processes of returning and ordered a different brand this time. I do not recommend this machine
