Works great. Super easy to set with my TV, as it only took holding two buttons facing TV for 8 seconds. Make sure you get the right one for your TV. I broke my other TV remote and had to replace it. I checked the codes on back of my remote to make sure it matched.

I washed my remote with my bedspread. It was a sad day since I only have had my TV for a year, despite my efforts to dry it out and revive it, gone. On the Samsung site, replacing it would have been unaffordable. I immediately came here, looked up the code on my old remote: BN59-01432A - and found this universal replacement. I bought the white as my Roku remote is black, but I believe both black and white to be the same functional remote and quality in this listing.PHOTOS: White is the remote in this listing, black is my previous dead remote.CHARGING: When it arrived, it was fully charged. This is a solar remote like my original Samsung remote. All you have to do is turn the remote face down, the solar area is exposed to daylight in the room and charges if needed. There is an additional charging area (type C) opening at the bottom of the remote. If this is like my last remote, I’ll not need to charge it in the port. I love the solar charge feature of this remote.PAIRING: You need to hold down the back/return button and the play pause button in your new remote, at the same time for about 10 seconds and you will see a red light flash. This will allow your TV to “see” the new remote. The TV needs to be on and it will detect the remote and pair. I attempted pairing 3 times because the TV kept telling me that the old remote was already in the system and paired. If this happens, keep trying. Once paired I went and deleted the old remote from the system device list so it won’t come up again.MATERIAL QUALITY: Good with the new remote. It does have a lesser quality material feel and a little rougher feel than the original, but it isn’t bad. The OEM version has a smooth finish to the plastic. It may be slightly less heavy than the standard OEM remote that comes with the TV. Neither are substantially heavy. I had a glow in the dark silicone case that fit it well. The height and lengths of the remotes are about the same and the new one fit the case and was snug enough and won’t move around.BUTTONS: Every button functioned perfectly and each button was tested. The up/down/left/right and select buttons, the two circles in the center were slightly larger in height than the original. Because of this my silicone case doesn’t work as well. See Photos. If you have a case this might bug you when using the up/down/right/left circle outside button, and this could totally be me because my muscle memory for this previous remote is imprinted. Volume up/down/mute and channel up/down buttons somehow seem sturdier and requires a tiny bit more pressure than the original remote. None of these small annoyances are deal breakers.MICROPHONE: It worked on first try to search anything. I didn’t have to do anything. It searched for a show, opened an app and turned up the volume without programming.FIRST DAY OF USE: All the buttons worked, everything seems exactly the same now as the old remote. I’m satisfied with the remote and recommend it for anyone wanting a more budget replacement.

Needed to purchase after accidentally dropping the original in a glass of water. Works just as good as the original. Good click feel and responsive.

I have had the remote for 2 months, with very light usage. Worked for about 20-30 uses. Now, it’s a piece of junk. Turns on TV but does nothing else. Tried recharging, turning off tv, etc but nothing fixes it. Red button for mic keeps flashing; have no idea why since I never set it up for mic usage. Should have used my money for genuine Samsung remote.
