As a beginner myself, this is a wonderful start to linux. It was nicely packaged in the box and it was very easy to set up and run within minutes. The only problem is the wifi I recommend to be close to an access point(one or two thin walls) with the onboard antenna pointed to its direction or have it wired.

Superior kit than others on amazon, at every aspect from packaging to included components. (Bought a raspberry pi 4b from other supplier came with plastic enclosure that never stays shut) this kit includes metal enclosure that screw's shut, includes a pouch if you take yours on the go. and the pi 5 kit was on sale so i got it cheaper than the pi 4 lol, might buy a 16gb model in future. will be using this for smart home application and tailscale to control unifi protect security system with tts messages :)

This is a great starter kit that comes with everything to get started. Excited to have a Raspberry Pi 5 kit. Everything is just as shown in the photos. The board matches the parts and markings on the official photos. The included card is SanDisk. The card includes the OS, but you can reformat the card and install an OS from scratch if desired. They included a Quick Start guide and a reference Pi Rule card with wiring info. You can get up and running quickly with this kit. I didn't have the time or want to part out a starter kit right now, and this works well for what I need. I'll upgrade an accessory if I need to or buy additional components later once I have put this through the paces.

I purchased this kit to build a network monitoring tool for my home network. The kit arrived on time, well packaged and in excellent condition. The components all appeared to be of high quality and assembly was straightforward. My only complaint regarding this kit were the directions provided. There were several small sets of instructions which probably shows this kit was assembled of parts made to be sold separately and each was packaged with its own instruction sheet. There is a QR code to an overview video, though, and if that is watched first most people should be able to assemble this kit without major problem. I've been running this Pi for several months 24x7 hosting Pi-Hole and Fing agent and have been very happy with its reliability and performance. I have recently ordered a second Pi kit and plan to set that up as a controller for several smart home devices.

It is a luxury box. Everything is of great quality, even the box.All the accesories included. Great quality product.Great performance of the Pi. Faster than Pi4.

At work, I use raspberry pi’s for data collection on my drones. They are installed as embedded systems and are used to run portable data acquisition systems using hardware designed for PCs. This kit made it easy to get my latest system up and running quickly. The pi comes packaged with all the necessary components and high quality parts so I didn’t have to gather everything separately. The only additional thing I bought was a small, 3.5” monitor. It is a good setup for me because of its small size and light weight. This kit is an excellent way for anyone to build an inexpensive PC. The instructions make this super easy for even beginners to set up.

Not exactly "plug and play" as advertised and impossible to set up for a beginner without a dedicated monitor, keyboard, and mouse or knowledge of how else to do it if there is indeed a way. This is not something that I can simply connect to with my laptop. Thus "everything you need to get started" is a load of horse fertilizer. So until I order or otherwise locate several of the said extra components (monitor, keyboard, mouse) at even more cost, I can't even install the "pre-loaded OS from the micro SD card onto the Raspberry Pi 5, I already made the mistake of plugging power in as I was reading the i"quick start guide" without the ability to properly monitor and unplug it, so who knows if the OS is even still intact, and basically I have in front of me a $200. credit card sized brick.
