Such a simple design but so strong and secure, leads seem to be getting over complicated these days and quality is suffering as a result but this lead is clearly made of high quality materials. The rope is solid and extremely strong, the carabiner is one of the best I’ve come across on a dogs lead (there has been a few that have been returned!) great length as well, I have tied two knots in mine in different places for pulling my dog in closer when needed which really helps and there is still plenty of freedom for my dog. Very happy with it and should last for many years to come.

I bought this lead as there was a dog snatched not far from where I live, so I wanted a lead that would give me security and peace of mind and this lead does just that. I wrap the handle around my wrist very comfortably and I don't need to change hands unlike my previous lead it also meand the lead cannot just be snatched from my hand and the locking caribeana means that the lead cannot be easily unclipped, the sturdiness and thickness means it is also not going to be cut very easily.. so I can now walk my dog with peace of mind knowing that she cannot be snatched from my hand... my previous lead was an extending lead... I would highly recommend this lead..

Having tried lots of types of leads... so far we are really enjoying walking our sheepdog crosses (welsh sheepdog x lab and welsh sheepdog x nz huntaway) on these leads, no fear of the clip unclipping. A bit rough on the hands as it is a rope but some of this is down to the walking ability and rambunctiousness of our dogs. With some fabric softener and time I will predict they will be the perfect lead. Great colours as well the pictures of the blue and orange lead don't do they justice, the orange is very vibrant. Would highly recommend to anyone with very strong powerful working breed dogs.

Bought this to replace a very dangerous lead I purchased off Amazon that opened twice in a few weeks leaving my dog to run down the street with me chasing him.This lead feels very robust with a great length. I took one star off because it says it is made with mountain climbing rope, but it is that rope that has an inner core and nylon thread over the top of it, so when my dog pulls and spins around the outer layer of threads ends up twisted and warped. Nothing like any mountain climbing rope I have seen.

Sturdiness and durability I’ve given 5 stars although I’ve only just purchased this leash .It’s a nice long leash 6foot so if you want short , this isn’t the one for you . Seems good strong sturdy leash and the clip is great if like me you have issues with your hands . Not a padded handle and so I wasn’t sure how it would feel but I find it’s ok , a pair of work gloves could be worn if your worried about it burning the hands . So far , zero complaints. I’d have another one of these

This is a first class dog lead. It is made to last a lifetime. The length of the lead allows a controllable degree of freedom for the dog. I like the colour (blue) and especially like the unbreakable carabiner attachment.

We had bought a few leads for our young pup, and weren't satisfied with them, one of them even came off during a walk near a road, I never ever wanted to experience that feeling again so I set about looking for the most sturdy and secure one I could find. After reading reviews etc I settled on this Embark lead with caribiner clip. I wasnt sure how comfy the rope would be on my hand but felt that wasnt a priority anyway - just pups safety. Well, i am so impressed. I love this lead, everything about it is great. The clip seems very secure so that's the main thing, but it's also a great length, a great colour and it is comfy in my hand. This is the Holy Grail of leads for my dog! We own 15 leads. Literally, 15. We bought some because we thought they were cute, realizing they aren't functional. We bought some that are super comfortable but they unclip, get tangled, or cause me to want to scream. But this!! My dog is a bolter, and I am terrified of something happening and his lead unclipping while on a walk. It's happened twice before, with those normal flip clips, and I have nearly had a panic attack. I was able to grab my dog before he notices, but I ended up feeling anxious every single walk, and using double leads because of my fears. This lead, though, is the answer. It is extremely lightweight, yet extremely durable. My dog doesn't pull, so I can't attest to the strength against pullers. However, the clip is the greatest part. The caribiner clips smoothly, and then I screw the cover over the top, and we are set! I have no fears of it unclipping. I have no worries that he is going to somehow accidentally get away. I have two of these now, and I plan to buy one for every new pet owner I know as a gift, because they are just the tops! Well done, Embark! You've made me enjoy our walks finally without fear.
