LOVE THESE - You'll need 8 AA Batteries + a Micro SD card. SIM Cards are Built-In.
I'm not a hunter. I have this inside my house. It is a house that is far away and I don't get to go there very often. Someone recently broke in and wiped me out. Dishes, glasses, small appliances, furniture, antiques, lamps, chandeliers, mirrors, decorations, EVERYTHING. There is some furniture left, and I know they are coming back for it, so I put one of these cameras inside so I can see them the minute they kick the door in again.I had to run to W@lmart for eight AA batteries. I got the regular ones, not the crazy expensive ones. I got home with the batteries, but I had missed the part about needing a micro SD card. I went right back to the store for that, but they were sold out, so I was aggravated that I had to wait to complete this setup. These items should be written in NEON BOLD TYPE so that the buyer can be ready for setup the minute the Amazon truck pulls away. (By the way, why didn't SpyPoint trying to up-sell me on these additional purchases? Hmmm. An opportunity missed.) Make sure you get a MICRO SD card rather than the regular size. After I waited for the micro SD to arrive from Amazon, I installed the SpyPoint app on my android and starting setting up this camera. I have never owned anything like this, and it was still pretty easy to find my way around in the app. I have the camera set for two notifications: 1) motion, with immediate notification so I can call 911 right away, and 2) send me a picture every day at 6 pm. Since I am far away, the daily picture lets me know that the camera is live and functioning.I don't have wifi at my house, so this camera was perfect because it works off of a cellular signal. The cellular sim cards are built in and they will use the signal that is strongest at the location of the camera. I think they scan multiple carriers like AT&T, Verizon, etc. for the strongest signal. There is no extra charge for this.Another bonus is that you get 100 photos per month transmitted to you via the app on your phone for free. If you run out, you can either wait until the new month rolls around, or you can buy a package with more photo transmissions for something like $5 per month. In the app, you can see cellular signal strength, battery percentage, how many photos you've received, and how many days left in your 30-day photo cycle. My camera has been sending me one photo a day for a little over a month and I'm still at 78% battery. You can also ask it for videos, but I didn't need that, and I need my batteries to last as long as possible. Also, some cameras are so sensitive that the sunlight/shadows moving thoughout the day can sometimes trigger motion. I didn't want my batteries to run out because they were videoing that! I have received no false motion alerts. It was the free 100 photos per month that made me zero in on this camera. Then, since I needed these cameras for tracking humans, not deer, this next feature made the sale for me: These cameras have GPS.If the thief comes back into my house, I HOPE he steals this camera. Besides instantly receiving a picture of the thief's face via the SpyPoint app, I'll call both SpyPoint and the police and report the camera stolen. SpyPoint will then track the location of the camera and coordinate directly with local police. I believe their system even lets the "next" owner re-set up the camera on their phone, the thief might even buy the $5/mo subscription, and for any camera that SpyPoint knows is stolen, they will relay the "new owner" info to the police in addition to the GPS info.Oh, I REALLY hope the pigs come back and steal this camera.

Awesome to see!!
These are great! You can use them for free too! There are subscriptions that you can pay to get more from these.I just wanted too see what critters where prancing through my yard at night so the 100 pictures a month that the free plan provides is plenty! Even with the free plan the camera will still connect to your phone (you have to download an app) and you can set how often the cameras sync with your phone. (Least: once a day. Most: every capture) you pick the timeThese have white light to mammals can see it! You can set a delay on image capture to get them closer up it'll they're skittish. The deer in my yard don't seen to care any more. They know it won't do anything to them.Night vision is really good in my opinion. Not professional but these are cheap cameras.

Countless [KNOWN] FAILURES
I bought a pair of these Flex series cameras. I activated them today. In my opinion because I paid for them and I own them, I can activate them anytime I want. I can demonstrate that today was the first day of activation per device. One of the pair functions normally. The other, however, failed miserably. I have seen this strategy multiple times with various products and multiple manufacturers in my decades as a consumer. Where a pair of any product is packaged and sold together, ONE FAILS MISERABLY. Though I purchased them here on Amazon, I do not believe Amazon packaged them - I THINK SPYPOINT DID THIS! Spy point has shockingly poor Customer Service, I know this from personal experience, but anyone can look up their reviews.THESE ARE THE PROBLEMS WITH ONE OF MY CAMERAS:>> No GPS (I deactivated it and then reactivated the failing camera. No improvement)>> No coordinates>> No obvious method to change Celsius to Fahrenheit>> Though these cameras were supposed to be exactly alike, they present on the app with different numbers and I’m not talking about the serial numbers. I’m talking about model numbers. I did ensure I indicated the correct model.>> CLEARLY printed on the packaging is that two SD cards were included. Lies! There were actually zero SD cards included.>> There is NO AUDIO on the video. Clearly stated on the packaging is that both audio and video are available.WOW, SpyPoint, is THIS how you treat loyal consumers? These two cameras are numbers seven and eight SpyPoint cameras I have owned. I know how to set them up, I am familiar with usage, and I know the app like I know the back of my hand.** Do not bother yourselves suggesting a hard reset or express false empathy, empty promises, or suggestions of me contacting Customer Service by phone or chat. I have done this multiple times historically. Each time, LITERALLY each time, I waited for a professional for over an hour. My concerns were not complex issues. Yet you force-feed me an untrained phone answerer who pops back in while I’m on hold every 15 minutes requesting I continue to hold. Each and every time I contacted your customer service I never did reach any professional - I only wasted time waiting on hold. In my opinion, your customer service is by far some of the worst I have experienced in decades.I wholly believe SpyPoint was KEENLY AWARE of this failure. The most selfish choice for an irresponsible company (YOURS) was to simply ditch an entire batch of failing cameras by packaging them with a functional camera.SHAME ON YOU, SpyPoint! So what do I do now about my monetary losses? Who will pay me back? When will I get my money?Amazon forbids sellers to ask for a consumers address…and I support Amazon policies completely. But now what? You created this problem, SpyPoint, you need to figure out how to remedy my losses. And not only for one Flex Series camera, but also for the missing SD card on the other.I regret my purchase.I regret spending money on SpyPoint products. And, I regret trusting your company.I’ve already left a review on the app. Next, I will contact Amazon and inform them directly. Thanks a lot, SpyPoint. Your actions amount to thievery.
