Great hub that can power mutiple external drives
Always unsure with USB hubs due to power/data transfer speed issues and constraints. This hub can transfer files between 5 external drives hooked up at USB 3.0 speeds. The external power is fantastic and the on/off switches for each port is a nice touch. Use it way more than I though I would. Works on both windows and Mac without needing to install drivers, just plug and play. Great value for money! 100 percent recommend if you need lots of USB ports on your PC.

Works OK
Sabrent 36W 7-Port USB 3.0 HubI use this for writing backup files from my desktop computer to a flash drive every night. All 7 of the ports work. I wrote a script to compare the speed of file transfer between ports on this hub and the native USB 3.0 ports on the front of the computer. It's a very fast computer with an ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero motherboard, and those native ports are connected directly to that motherboard. The file source was an internal RAM disk, infinitely fast compared to USB. There was no difference in speed between the ports, whether the destination flash drive was a fast one or a slow one.Once a month I write five flash drives at once, and I expect this hub to handle that perfectly. If it doesn't, I will update this report.I don't need 36 watts or individual port switches, but maybe some day?OOPS - Now it's not so good. I make most of my flash drives bootable, using Macrium Reflect, so the images on the drives can be restored easily. But the ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero motherboard does not find those flash drives. As if they are not connected at all.The USB cable length doesn't matter, nor does the port that I use on the 7-port Sabrent hub, nor does the brand or type of flash drive. Tried 'em all. And all of the flash drives will boot up just fine when plugged in directly to the front of computer, where a short cable within the computer connects to the mobo. This not a huge problem, because I would use a front or back connection if I really needed to restore a drive. It's more of an inconvenience, because it makes it a little harder to test a flash drive.I need to get to Sabrent and see what they have to say.SERIOUS UPDATE: The review changes from 5 stars to 1 star (preferably zero).Elated and angry. Elated because I finally discovered why my computer was exhibiting so many sudden "Black Screen of Death" reboots. Angry because the cause was this Sabrent 7-Port USB Hub which was doing nothing when the reboots occurred. The reboots seemed to be random, so I had no idea what might cause them and spent good money on three (very nice) Tripp-Lite surge suppressors. I was already using a UPS for the computer itself. More important, I spent hours upon hours trying to find the problem, never imagining that it could be a device that was plugged in but not even in use when the reboots happened. I wrote scripts, attempting to repeatedly exercise non-microsoft software (VeraCrypt, 7-Zip, ImDisk) to produce the error reliably, to no avail.I kept a log of the black screens, and that did help. Finally my little brain connected the start of the black screens to the time that I purchased the Sabrent 7-Port USB Hub. Since disconnecting that, no such reboots have occurred. I do need a hub during certain procedures, but the replacement ikuai 11-Port hub has not caused reboot problems. It has other problems, and it's going back, but that's a separate review. The Sabrent hub was unquestionably the cause. However, in my opinion, the ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero motherboard is also partly at fault, because it should be designed well enough to prevent a USB-connected device from bringing down the computer.2024 03 05 Another update. Maybe the Sabrent isn't the problem after all. It's definitely not "unquestionably" the cause. I replaced it with a new RSHTech 7-port USB hub, and the black-screen reboots continue. I'm stumped right now, actually starting to suspect my UPS of spikes or momentary cutouts. Anyway I think the Sabrent is OK.

Just what the doctor ordered
Easy to set up just plug and play, opened up so much space now that my usb ports aren't all used up. Very happy with my purchase might buy another if needed.

Products good, indicator lights poor
I purchased the item because it's a recognized brand. Works fine but the indicator lights are so tiny and dim I can't see if they are lit up unless I stand up and look directly down on the hub. Other makers hubs are much easier to see the lights when a socket is turned on.

It works!
Works great for me! Freed up some of my power-hungry USB devices so I can plug more power hungry USB devices 😊👍🏿

So far so good.
This sits on my desk and let's me switch a bunch of USB devices off/on. From my web camera, to portable drives, to small USB powered fans, and phone sync/charging cables. All much easier than having to connect things directly to my tower case that sits under the desk.

10 USB Port 60W adapter... "Not enough power"?!
Update:My hdmi capture card refused to work with the hub as well. So I couldn’t get my streaming camera running at all. That immediately made it a return for me. I’ve done a number of checks on the ports, directly connecting to my laptop or desktop, and simply put nothing worked. It would not recognize my keyboard or my hdmi capture card, which works fine through my old inland 7-port usb hub.As a result I am no longer interested in SABRENT usb hub equipment. If this was a bad unit, I find it hard to believe that power indicators didn’t work, fundamental usb components not working, and suggesting it is a 60-watt capable part seems crazy given my experience. In any event a bad part, brand new from Amazon, damaging my trust for the brand._________________________________So I'm not sure whats happening, and I'm still investigating, but my initial reaction was this was a great little 10port USB 3.0 hub for use with my setup between a desktop/laptop. I set it up in place of an older inland 7-port powered usb hub, and the moment I connected/powered it, it immediately complained about a lack of power.I should clarify that this hub does have a fair bit of things on it, list here:- Logitech g903- Corsair k100 (LED keyboard)- HDMI Capture card- Yubikey- Soundblaster USB soundcard (for recording purposes)- 2-3 accessory cords connected at different times (micro usb/lightning/etc)Now I didn't think this would be too much, but the hub absolutely refuses to power my Corsair keyboard AT ALL. Because I have 2 PC's to connect, I have a simple GreenU USB switch between the 2 devices; this supports 2 different connectors and 4 USB devices. The Windows OS complains that the hub is more than 5 plugs away from the root... Not true. I currently have it connected as follows:Laptop --> USB Docking station --> USB Switch --> Hub (So not 5 away)In the desktops case i have a similar connection:Desktop --> USB switch --> hubTo fix the keyboard not functioning properly I had to connect the keyboard to the USB switch as a workaround. However i'm very confused in all honesty on why this would present a problem on the Sabrent and not on the Inland. I may end up trying another brand to see if this continues to be a problem. But this definitely made me question Sabrent's design. Would recommend if you are looking for a numerous amount of ports/connections that you consider the needs before you buy this. Inherently nothing wrong, but the fact it won't power my Corsair keyboard when the Inland would makes me reconsider my purchase.
