Love the wheels on these!
This is an extremely heavy patio table. I wanted to be able to move it around as needed. And while I don’t think these were meant to be used permanently like this, they are perfect for my use. BTW, I have no idea how that little “jack” would be used with legs like this, so I didn’t try it.

Most useful buy
These are so sturdy and useful - it’s so easy to pop even heavy furniture on these and move it. I’m constantly rearranging the house so these are extremely handy to have!

One of the best purchases EVER!
5🌟 ! Read this review! I'm a single mom, and we all know we will never ask for help if we don't have to. THESE ARE AMAZING!! They rolled over medium carpet, hardwood(soft wheels no scratches)door thresholds, both with ease. I moved a VERY heavy dresser across the house, around doorways, it was stupid easy. The dollies even rotate around the doorways or if something got in the way. I did have a dresser with 4 posts, so maybe that made it easier, but this easily one of the best purchases EVER! 10/10 recommend!

These dollies are the bees knees. I use these to roll my Italian flywheel meat slicer around and it’s smooth as butter.

Not ideal for moving a baby grand
I bought these dollies to move a baby grand piano across a medium pile carpet. I liked the U shape because I thought that they would be more stable, and I wouldn't have to lift the piano as high (baby grands are HEAVY, ~200 pounds per leg, definitely a two-person lift). On the first attempt, the dolly immediately flipped out from under the piano leg as soon as I started pushing. On closer examination, I discovered that these dollies have a fatal flaw. With a heavy load on a carpet, the front two wheels will naturally align perpendicularly to the direction of movement. The dolly wheels will also rotate backwards toward the center of the dolly. Since the wheels are offset from their pivot points, this means that the distance between the center of the dolly and the forward balance point (a line drawn through the center of the front two wheels) is reduced to only about one inch. If the piano moves past this balance point, the dolly flips. This is illustrated in the first photo. Imagine the dolly is being pushed to the right which orients the wheels as shown. The left edge of the ruler is in line with the wheel axles and represents the tipping point. It's easy to see how close this is to the hole in the center. The second photo shows my solution. I bought a 2.5" PVC end cap, drilled a hole in the center, and bolted it to the dolly with a 3/8" x 1" carriage bolt and a fender washer. My second moving attempt with this solution also failed as there was still too much movement allowed for the piano wheel. I then filled in the gap inside the cap with a very short piece of 2.5" pipe and a second piece of 1.5" pipe. This constrained the piano wheel so that it couldn't move from the center point and my next attempt worked perfectly. If you try something like this start with a smaller PVC cap.Fortunately, both times that the dolly flipped it was on a carpeted surface and no damage was done to the floor or the piano. Even if you are moving on a tile or wood floor where the pushing forces are a lot lower, I think you could still run into this problem and a flipped dolly could result in damage. Make sure that whatever you are moving is either resting on all three top pads or is held centered in the middle of the dolly.
