Insta360 GPS Action Remote Control with Camera

The remote pairs and works very simply out of the box. However when cycling through the options it selects things like photo, video etc but seems to miss out HDR options for photo/video along with things like Timelapse etc.

This is awesome and I wish I bought it sooner. I use the Insta360 X3 for recording action sports; skiing and mountain biking amongst other things. I used to open the mobile application to start and stop recordings but I found this quickly drains my phones battery, and it wouldn't last the full day on long trips. However this device solves all and that and I get great GPS data amongst other stats, like speed, g force, incline, elevation and route for example.I found it easy to wear, it just straps on to your wrist like a watch, and if you don't want to do that just remove the strap and carry it wherever you like. Once connected you just press the big red button to start and stop recordings, it made life so much easier to record on the slopes when you're wearing all your gear. I was able to record whilst wearing my ski gloves, it's great!The battery lasted all day on the mountain, the longest day being around 7 to 8 hours, and it still had plenty of battery left at the end of the day, in freezing conditions, so that's great.All in all, it was worth the investment for me because I use the camera a lot and wanted to improve ease of use.

Needed to update firmware on the brand new camera for it to worn. Very frustrating until I found that out. Good news is the suport team is very helpful. The bad news is I needed the support team for brand new out of box devices that are supposed to work together.Use case is skiing and motorcycling - tied to a round surface. Seems to work well. The big red button is fine to use but the side button for mode? Ha. Squeeze and hope to get the right setting. Battery lasts a long time so there is that good news I suppose.

Nice and easy to connect to my X4 & so implement to use just what I wanted

Absolute garbage. I bought this remote in November but haven't tried to use it until now, I managed to get the remote to operate my camera once at home, I then went out on my motorbike but the remote failed to work, this was the only reason I bought the remote, so I could operate my 360x2 while riding my bike. Remote will not connect to the camera at all, I've followed all the instructions on the insta360 site and still nothing. I'd avoid at all costs. Can't give minus stars or I would.

This is a very useful addition as my footage always included raising and lowering of the selfie stick. I mostly use my powered selfie stick and use this with my 3m rod. Hence, Iam still getting used to it with my X3 and it is very reliable. I tend to turn the X3 on before raising it to ensure i am ready to capture otherwise I lose track of if I'm turning the unit on or just recording. I'm still getting used to it but I hope to become more familiar with it's use the more I use it. The only slight criticism is that the selfie band is a very tight on the insta 3m selfie handle.

A remote for any action camera is a must and so I bought this. Too tart with it has a lot of Chinese display, which make me wonder if this is genuine Insta or a fake one? Anyway battery life is good and once you get use to it I am sure it will be great. I tried it last weekend but working the buttons through a motorcycle glove was not easy and I messed up with the settings and ended up recording crap! Now trying to get my hand to working it. Not cheap!
