In my job, everyone wears welly boots. On my days off (or when im not looking) it's known that people may use or borrow them.The culture is to drill a hole through the top of the boot and padlock them together.The lock itself is fine. Decent construction and you can set the code to whatever you like. It's intended for travelling and I would be fine using it for that too.I only gave it 4 stars because I only use it in a low theft/security setting. They are cool though and as an engineer, I haven't actually put the cable though the ultimate test.

Am really pleased with these locks. They can be opened if necessary by airport staff too so no damage to your luggage. Easy to set the number and easy to open. Just the right size for suitcase, quite heavy quality for the size and good value for money

Once I worked out how to set the code (which wasn't easy) it is perfect for my suitcases. But I have put them away and now can't find them - so back to the padlocks!!!!!

If you’re seriously worried about security and your luggage being stolen, this is not the lock for you. It’s flimsy and the passcode reset is easily done.However, if you’re looking for a minor deterrent or something to stop zips coming apart and luggage opening, this is a perfectly adequate solution.
