Better safe than sorry
Bought one of these for peace of mind when I was having a new gas fire installed in a modern house. Simple enough to check out that it’s working and it sits and unobtrusively doing its thing without any problems. I check it occasionally to make sure it’s working and everything works as it should.

Purchase this Carbon monoxide detector February 2025. The unit arrived and has a manufactured date of 15/01/2023.The unit has a sealed non replaceable lithium battery with an advertised 7 years life. I would have been happy with a few months off as this is reasonable. But this detector has been on the shelf for 25 months.Returned as this is unacceptable.As the price point is for a long life maintenance free alarm. Over £20.00. Shame as the unit is compact with a built in stand and information screen.
