Master Lock 1500iDPNK Locker Lock Set Your Own Directional Combination Padlock, 1 Pack, White/Pink

This Master Lock is the best design I’ve found for gym lockers or daily use. The pattern combination is super quick to unlock, and you don’t even need to look while doing it. I’ve been using it for a year after someone broke my old lock at the gym, and it’s been reliable ever since. Unless someone cuts it or makes a lot of noise trying to force it open, it’s great at stopping thieves. Even though this model has been discontinued, I’ll definitely keep buying it whenever I can find one. It’s that good!

This lock is amazing, it always works without a glitch and is super easy to use. I know the regular speed dial locks on Amazon have really bad ratings/comments, but don't worry, that is not the problem with this lock. I don't know what they did different but this lock works perfectly 100% of the time, it's really easy and fast to use. Setting up a new combination is also very easy, I was able to do it with in a couple minutes, just follow the directions on the package, they're very easy to understand. I like to use the alphabet stickers that it came with. I just place them so that 6-8 letters (2 stickers) are next to the arrow and spell words to form combinations. The one I'm currently using has me going one way three times and I've never had any problem with it, it'll just work. The only concern I have with it is that there are screws on the back and I don't know if by taking the screws out someone would be able to open it....? I really don't know, I might put super glue there or something if I'm paranoid enough, lol, but I don't think that's really an issue.All in all the lock works perfectly and is fun to use, I find myself making extra trips to my locker at the gym just for the fun of opening the lock! It's quite remarkable :DJust get it! You won't be disappointed!

Edit:After a stellar 5 star review I wrote after having the lock for a few months, I'm now prompted to change it. After about a year, it just quit working - won't open. Since I never changed the combination, it's nothing I've done to cause it to stop. It just decided to not let me in. I'm guessing that's why the number of negative reviews seem to be on the rise. Others must be going through the same. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.original review:This is a really novel idea for a new design. The lock can be opened without looking at it, similar to 'swipe' on smartphones. You don't need your glasses to see the numbers. Even nicer is that you can make a long or short combination. But you do need to be careful that nobody is watching you unlock it, as the combination can be easily viewed from a distance. Probably a good habit would be stand close or cover with your other hand. Have had it for several months and has worked flawlessly. Of note, the little stickers are for those that need a crutch to remember (or come up with a combination) but really otherwise are useless since the motion is the combination, not what's on the stickers. I can see that it could be hard for some to get used to, but awesome when you do since you can open it in like half a second while talking with someone and not even look away from them.

As always I check reviews negative and positive before purchasing. I wanted something not too complicated and something without the use of numbers in which you have to do 1 to the left, two turns to the right, and three to the left, or something of that matter. As you always come across days in which you either cant remember the numbers or you cant get the number of turns right.This device is simple and you find your self opening the locker in less then half the time as those traditional numbered locks. Researched told me that I should keep the original combination that was issued with the lock so for now I have not changed the combination and for now I have had no issues with opening it as I have tested it over 50 times locking and unlocking it. Some reviews from different color locks like this state when they changed the combination or try a combination with more then 5 combination thats when they have an issue with their lock.It would actually feel more secure if they didnt actually have the arrows on it or they added 4 extra arrow stickers to place them on the lock going in 45 degree angles with this that will throw someone off by trying to figure out your directions. Maybe someone from Amazon will see this message and relay it to MASTER.

I like the directional lock for the most part. But the shaft of the lock is too short to be a good locker door lock. Because of the “u” shape on the main lock piece, there is not much clearance. So I will have to save the lock for some other need. It is easy to reset and use. Just save the directions to the lock in a safe place!!

I can't believe how easy it is to open this lock. Just a few quick movements, and no peering down at tiny lines to see if I got a number exactly. No trying three times before I can get it open. Plus, no one in my gym has a lock like this, so it's easy to find my locker.These are programmable, so you can create a custom combination. The directions are really simple.To open, you click the whole lock to "clear" any movements. Then, the center dial can be pushed up/down/left/right. You might have a combination of UP UP UP UP, or UP LEFT DOWN RIGHT, or DOWN DOWN LEFT LEFT, etc. So simple. Yet, so many combinations that someone won't be able to easily or quickly pick your lock. Sturdy as all Master Locks, so you know your stuff is secure.

These are the best locks ever. We use them on our entire gate because they work so well. Often we arrive home late in the evening, dark thirty. We don't have to remember numbers or try to scroll through small numbers. Just click left, right, up or down...whatever combination you set. It's great. Thank you. Karen
