Powerful
Purchased this grinder for flax seeds. It is quick and it only missed a couple of whole seeds. Love the fact that I can wash the cup.

Good product, good service
I thought I had a problem with this grinder, but it turned to be my outlet.I used this grinder 2 times when it suddenly stopped working in the middle of what i was grinding. I thought it was because there was something wrong with the grinder, so I started the exchange process, asking them to send me a replacement. When i got the replacement, I tried it and found that one wouldn't work either. That was when it occurred to me that perhaps the problem was not the grinder in the first place. As it turned out, the problem was my outlet.I fixed the outlet problem by pressing the reset button (after which I tried real hard not to feel silly for not thinking to check that in the first place, but didn't quite succeed on that front) and tested both grinders (I hadn't gotten around to sending the first one back yet). Both worked just fine.So I went to Amazon to cancel my return. I told them what happened, that the product was not to blame. I said I realized I now had 2 grinders and that was fine. I just wanted to cancel my return and set the record straight, since I had said the reason for the return was product failure. Wirsh told me to just keep the second grinder anyway. It's a good product. It works better than the Cuisinart one, which is the one I had that went bad. The issue with the Cuisinart is the container kept getting jammed and would not release from the base. There was no obvious reason for this. When it got jammed so hard it would not come off no matter what I did, I said, "that's it," and tossed it in the trash. (I notice others have left similar complaints on the Cuisinart grinder.)I have had no such issue with the Wirsh.Another way the Wirsh grinder is better than the Cuisinart is that the Cuisinart would leave product in the base, because there is some room in the bottom of the container for ground matter to fall through. This does not seem to be the cause for the jamming issue, but was certainly cause for extra work in cleaning the base out, and loss of some product. Who wants to deal with that? The Wirsh is designed such that nothing escapes out the bottom. Also, the Cuisinart lacks the inner plastic cover with the seal that the Wirsh has.My experience so far with this product is good. it works well and it grinds just as fine as the Cuisinart. I am happy with it.

Exactly what I was looking for!!
This coffee grinder is amazing! I was looking for one without any plastic, and this one is all stainless steel. The removable bowl is incredibly helpful and makes it so easy to wash. It has a ton of features compared to others at this price point. Yes, it's a bit loud, but that doesn't bother us. We previously had the Amazon coffee grinder, and this one is 10x better!"

I does a good job of grinding, so far.
The media could not be loaded. I like that the removable cup has a lid that seals and keeps product from slipping around the outer lid and binding things up like others I tried. It is very loud. Watch the video and listen. Whoa! I'm powdering sugar. I will keep it though.

A perfect step up from small coffee grinders
I'm grinding spices for curry powder and needed something with larger capacity than my old coffee grinder, but not ready to shell out for a commercial grinder. This is large enough to hold a good cupful of spice, and grinds it as finely as you want by the duration of the grind. It's coped with chunks of cinnamon sticks without complaining although items with some amount of moisture are more challenging. But then it's not the kind of grinder for dried fruit etc. - your food processor is likely a better bet for that.Customers who show the contents spilled around the outside of the grinding receptacle have probably forgotten the put the lid on before grinding - a mistake I only made once! It's very easy to clean by just wiping inside with damp kitchen paper and so far I haven't needed the brush that's included. Yes, it's a little noisy, but no more than most kitchen appliances, and you're not grinding for an extended time.Overall, I'm very pleased with this grinder, and would highly recommend it for anyone needing a step up from a small coffee grinder.

HARD items can be ground up
I broke the plastic pieces of my coffee grinder by grinding our dog food treats. They are incredibly hard and the only treats (and are prescription) my dog with various food allergies can eat. Grinding this up into a powder and sprinkling on dried food works great to get both our pups to eat and finish their food. I call it "magic powder". The stainless container on this sold me and it has worked out great!!I "burned out" the motor when I first used it by running it too long without stopping. After a few hours I tried it again and pulsed the food with some longer grind periods and it worked like a charm. Glad I got this. Great product and love that the container is removable to wash. I'll dedicate this grinder to dog food, but I suppose I could use it in a pinch for human food too since it's dishwash-able.
