Q: Can this be cut to fit without damaging the waterproofing. I want to cut it to fit the built in seats of my shower.

Yes. I cut a slot after my prostatectomy and it is still great. (almost 2 months old)

Q: Does the pillow get moldy

It will get moldy if it isn’t cleaned periodically. I make sure the cushion is propped up for airflow under the bottom.

Q: Could this be used behind the back on the chair? I don’t want suction cups and it needs to be stiff so it won’t fall down.

Ido not see why it could not be used on the back of a chair. The one that I have does not have suction cups but does not move at all when I sit on it.

Q: does this cushion has straps to tie with shower chair?

No straps, but really not necessary. My father is 200 pounds. I don't believe it qould move regardless of weight. Nice addition to chair.

Not as thick and soft as I would have liked

It wasn't particularly as thick and as soft as I would have liked as I need something a lot thicker as I have fibromyalgia.I'm sure it would be suitable for most people it's just I struggled with the thickness and the fact when it arrived it was slightly ripped up and so it was refunded.
