Dry & Dry 100 Gram [20 Packets] Silica Gel Packets Desiccants, Silica Packets - Rechargeable Silica Gel Packs, Desiccants Packets, Silica Gel

I have used these larger packets (the 100 gram, but there are larger, and smaller) for the last 2 1/2 years to help keep stored 3D Printer filament dry. Store the filament in a sealable plastic container, add a packet or two depending on the water absorbency (hygroscopy) of the filament or item and seal. I find cereal storage containers are perfect, just be sure they are the same width the entire dimension of the container.These can be reused by heating up. Just be aware they indicate use defrost cycle if heating via microwave. You can get the item very very hot and the packet will get fragile and you can end up with hundreds (thousands) of small beads, Follow the instructions and you should be able to easily reuse these packets.I have tried others, but have found these work quite well for my needs. If you need even better drying, look for molecular based on crystalline metal aluminosilicate but these slica gel work well.

These are very nice & big silica packs. I am using them in my ammo storage boxes and gun bags. I guess time will reveal how well they perform however in the meantime I am quite convinced they will perform beautifully. I took the extra packs and vacuum sealed them in my food vacuum system to preserve them for later use and longer shelf life.

I use these mainly for ammo storage, in sealed containers. In the south you need to take extra precautions. Typically about twice a year I like to throw them in the oven to rejuvenate them.

I store items in plastic covered bins my garage in the Florida gulf coast. Toss in a packet and that mildew smell is gone, metal items stay in rust free condition . Humidity takes a toll around here, the silica gel packs put a stop to it.

I use this in my Halloween and Christmas storage bins. I keep the Halloween stuff in a self storage unit. It isn’t heated, but it is internal. Never have a problem with mold or odors after sitting for a year. Used be an issue before I used the desiccant.

I have a 26 gun safe. I put 4 of these in it. Does not do the job it states it does.Would not buy again.
