Great shower and no-fuss warranty!
Got this as a warranty replacement for the one I bought 10 years ago from them that started to leak badly. They work great and can't beat the warranty and fast service!

Nice, but first was used.
This is a very nice shower head, BUT the first one I got WAS ALREADY USED! I’m assuming this is the fault of AMAZON trying to cut costs somewhere and not the actual manufacturer. But be aware when it comes in to check ASAP that it is actually new!

Good price, fair product
Standard for all my reviews: When reviewing products, I always remain objective and honest about the product or service. I always review with information that I feel others would like to know about the product as I always assume what I'm writing will influence for or against the purchase. I always try to go above and beyond surface characteristics and input into quality, value and application. Most importantly, I end the review with an answer as to whether I'd purchase the product again which I believe is the most critical question pertaining to the item. To manufacturers: Want me to review your items? Just let me know!Tale of two different shower heads that I must tell. The first ShowerMaxx head showed up. Came packaged well and the instructions seem clear enough but could be confusing for someone not used to doing a little bit of their own plumbing. I did find that the flow restrictor and rubber washer instruction seemed to be backwards, although I didn't go back and verify it. This isn't a huge deal as it's relatively obvious what needs to occur. I also seemed to be missing a rubber washer although that may have been something that dropped out of the box if it was loose, It isn't as durable or as heavy as I was hoping so I was a bit concerned. The light weight material did cause problems for me. It does come with a small supply of teflon tape but I use my own. The first attempt at installing was an exercise in frustration. I'm not sure if it was a defect in the the shower mount (part that holds the wand) portion or if I simply applied too much torque but at first install, the shower mount section leaked badly and sprayed water. I tried tightening it and the threads of the mount stripped very quickly and was rendered immediately useless, leaking just as badly without the option for further tightening.A bit frustrated, I contacted the company. Their customer service was excellent which was/is a pleasant surprise. Must be a small company but they immediately apologized for the issue and while I was only asking for a new shower mount portion, after a couple of days and entirely new wand assembly showed up Same instructions but this time both rubber washers were in the bag and secured. Using my own plumbers tape and ensured a good clockwise winding for a good seal and carefully attached the shower assembly, tightening slowly to ensure I didn't strip the threads again. This time, the install went perfectly, took no more than 5 minutes and zero leakage.I wouldn't consider this a high end unit but my daughter loves it and it's relatively inexpensive, light weight and the settings work well. Best of all, the customer service took what would have been a two star rating, and made it a four. Nice to receive timely answers and support. As far as ordering this product again, I would probably for an inexpensive addition but not for an upscale bathroom. It's perfect for a guest bathroom in my opinion. Finish is good and the hose is a good length. It is lighter weight. As a bonus, my wife now uses it to give the dog a bath and he loves it.

Still great after 8 years!
I bought this showerhead 8 years ago for my second bathroom. Everyone who showers there remarks about how great it its, saying it sprays better than any other shower they have been in. I can vouch for it's durability because we've never had any problems and it's still going strong after all this time. The price has doubled since then, but so has everything else. I was shopping for a new shower head for the master bath and stumbled across this and now I'm buying it again. Hopefully it will be as good as the last one.

Substandard Shower Mount Kills Experience
I decided to come back to this review and conduct a do-over (original 1-star review at bottom of these up[dated comments). After sleeping on it I realize I was a bit harsh in writing in the spur of the moment of my disappointment. Is this item as great as many say? No. But it's not as bad as my initial assessment. What's good? Well, the shower head does feel fairly solid and I do really like (most of) the shower hose (long and feels solid). But I still feel let down by the rattle in the shower head and the choice of female adapter that connects the hose to the shower mount (it should be identical to the other end (the one that connects the hose to the head)).But I feel most let down by the sub-standard quality of the shower mount. It is really absolute rubbish. First, it's all plastic. It being plastic jars mightily with the metal feel of the rest of the unit. Second, the pivot doesn't hold up the shower head (yes, I know, tighten it up, but it can't be tightened up anymore). But most of all, the male end (where the hose should attach) is too short to allow the hose to bite easily (yes, I know, ensure the washer is snug; it is). I realize that's where my frustration boiled over; the critical (from a function perspective) turned out to be the weakest/least well designed. Frankly, it ruined the experience. So where do I end up wit this? Well, still returning it. At $44.99 (Amazon (sale?) price at the time of purchase) it's fairly fairly-priced, but I won't be getting another one. The substandard shower mount kills it for me. So I'll go 3 stars. Maybe you'll have better luck than I did,It's okay. That means "3 stars."++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Original Review:Cheap. A Total DisappointmentI can't understand what everyone finds so appealing about this shower Head. The only word that I can use to describe it is "cheap."I guess I fell for the "made with highest quality ABS material and features elegant polished brass" to mean there's some brass on this. If there is it's only sparsely there because everything reeks of (yes, "cheap") plastic. The shower head rattles, the critical part that mounts to the pipe stem is (yes, again, "cheap") plastic and the thickness of the supplied rubber washers is such that it works connecting the hand-held shower head to the hose but is too thick connecting the hose to the mounting piece so you can't get the threads to grab each other (I had to use the supplied plumber's tape to make this connection's leak stop and while it works it looks horrible). Speaking of the shower mount, it's not tough enough to keep the shower head pointed where I want it; the weight of the shower head eventually means the shower head points down/back to the shower wall because the mount can't hold it.It might look nice on the product page, but it looks much less so in the hand. And it feels, yup, really cheap. I guess you get what you pay for, but I guess you have to spend a lot more than I thought you should to get something worth paying for.Poorly constructed, partially defective and DOA, it's a POJ that's heading back to Amazon as soon as I can get the return set up.Very disappointed. I'm looking elsewhere and I would advise other potential, future buyers to do the same.1 star.
