I absolutely love these colors and they pop gloriously. You don’t have to use very much of the dye in order for it to really pop in the frosting or cakes you make. You can also just use a spray bottle to apply the colors on the cake by mixing the dye with some water. Be careful though because this can get messy. I’m not a professional baker so that’s why the cake isn’t perfect but I love baking as a hobby. I had to take my puff pastry apple roses off and spray them over the sink, because I made the mistake of doing it on the cake😂. But don’t expect these dyes to come in a big box or anything. I did some size comparison of the dyes by a skippo deck and a Keurig cup for you to see how big the box is and the dye bottles (sorry about the cat fur). These are definitely worth the price though, so don’t let the size fool you. These will last you a while if you’re a home baker. I am out of black dye though so I have to get some more. Definitely worth it.

This is the second time I have purchased these colors to dye royal icing for Christmas cookies. Each bowl only had 3 drops of color and they made the most vibrant colors. The black was truly black, not just dark grey!

The colors are vibrant and very concentrated. Start small. Rich color without changing the consistency of the icing. Love them.

I had purchased a gel color locally, hoping to color a cake. It did color, but minimally at best. And that was a whole two ounce bottle. So I bought this set.Yesterday I used it to color some frosting. Four drops was MORE than sufficient for a cup or so of frosting. Bright yellow buttercream was a hit decorating my cake.I would gladly recommend this to anyone wanting a high quality, and very effective, food safe way to add colors.

I have only used red so far and the icing was pink. Maybe i didn’t use enough

Pros and sorta user error cons: First, my initial order for 2-day delivery got lost. I reordered and it arrived next day. Do not use your teeth to pull off the seal- I ended up with a mouth full of orange. Bleh. Used a paper clip to puncture the rest. Tested each color besides brown and black- mostly bc I ran out of batter. Used vanilla white box mix (for time) and used 2 drops of dye in roughly 9-10 oz of batter (2 cupcakes). Had to use one extra in purple and accidentally two more in orange. See pictures. The little bottles themselves will last me, a hobbiest baker, well past the two year expiration date.Colors themselves: Sienna is like a muddy brownish orange- no idea when I’ll use that color. Leaf Green is more like neon slime green. Deep Pink is fluorescent hot pink and Rose pink is like Pepto Bismol.Cupcakes tasted fine, no detectable flavor of the dye. Looking forward to all the fun colored theme treats I’ll make!

Only used them once to make some gummy’s and to make sure the color was right they came out perfect my cherry gummy’s look like cherry gummy it wasn’t Pale the color is vibrant
