Conversational Yiddish Quick and Easy: The Most Innovative Technique to Learn the Yiddish Language Paperback – October 3, 2019

I tried to learn Yiddish with teach-yourself books in the past, but didn't succeed much. However i did find this book interesting and motivating. Very good to teach those on all levels of Yiddish and best of all it makes learning to speak the language easy. My Yiddish grandmother and my other Yiddish relatives love the book as well, whom I am now able to communicate with much better thanks to this book.

Easy to read and lots to learn. Would definitely recommend because after reading this book anyone could hold a good conversation in Yiddish. I loved it! A little gem of a book!

Easy way to further ones ability to speak a language. I recommend this to any that want to learn the basics of a language.

I liked the beginning . it was interesting and good instruction. I bought this book to help my yiddish club to learn vocabulary words we may have forgotten. we found that there are usually two ways to say something in Yiddishas we progressed through the book though particularly in the sentences section we found the English translation to the phrase was really very poor English. otherwise, this book has been very helpful. the transliterations are sometimes a bit difficult to figure out; of course we all pronounce yiddish words differently depending on what background we have, galiciana or litvak. we are midway through the book now, we form our own sentences with the provided words. I just thought the English phrases were really very poor English.

I have never seen a teaching book with no many mistakes. I thought that my students would benefit from a book such as this one, but we spend more time correcting the grammatical errors, made up words, and otherwise useless sentences than we spend learning anything. We wasted so much time trying to make it work, but it was a total failure.

I am just starting to learn Yiddish and thus book has assisted me a lot. I highly recommend this book.

I have had fun with this book on learning conversational Yiddish. It takes some work but it is worth the time that I took to learn it.

This is a phrase book. There is nothing in here that is an "innovative technique to learn the Yiddish language", although there it is, right in the title. Sure, phrases are helpful. But there's nothing about pronunciation, how to structure a sentence, not even a basic explanation of Yiddish grammar, all of which are basic building blocks for learning even the most simple structures of a language. This modest little paperback focuses on nothing but rote memorization of phrases. Disappointing that it is not as advertised, but the phrases will likely be useful.
