This is my first time using psyllium husk, and I wish I had started earlier! I have had general "gut troubles" most of my life, typically trending toward constipation, gas and bloating (no diarrhea). I also have PCOS and have heard positive things about psyllium for people with early signs of insulin resistance, related weight gain etc. I take probiotics as well.I can't really speak for long-term effects yet. But I CAN say that it works very quickly on your gut! I will hope that if you are reading this, you are not going to be afraid of anything TMI, so here goes: it makes stool very soft and easy to pass while still remaining solid. So you are not just swapping out constipation for diarrhea. (But please don't use this IN PLACE OF healthy, whole fruits, veggies and grains! They're important too!)Personally, I do not mind the taste at all, and I am rather sensitive to the taste of supplements. It has a very faint, flat, almost oatmeal-y or paper-y flavor. You can't taste it in juice and only barely taste it in water. The texture is not bad. It looks a little unpleasant, but the texture actually feels similar to a pulpy orange juice and it is very easy to drink. I imagine it would be easy to add 1-2 teaspoon to a smoothie as a thickener with great results.I started with 1 tablespoon in 8oz of water, followed by another glass of water. It is pretty thick in this ratio. I didn't have any gas or bloating and took an extra teaspoon that night before bed. The morning BM was healthy and easy to pass. Success! I have to also add, I was diagnosed with a severe vitamin D deficiency several years ago. Once my levels were normal, my constipation reduced significantly. I have no definitive proof that they are linked, but I am inclined to think that they are since I was likely D deficient for many years and had a pretty quick resolution (within 1-2 months) of a lot of my mild to moderate health issues after high-dose supplementing.

Excellent quality and organic (recommended product per Ben Azadi who wrote Metabolic Freedom), thankfully no surprises (bugs) in the container we received. Unbelievable but the manufacturer has a tear off and disposable metal lid and no plastic lid (why?) to cover up the container (bummer) after opening so I had to transfer to a different container WITH A LID. Product gets a 5 star, container gets a 4 star!

I have been using this product now for about 4-5 mo and am greatly impressed and happy with the results of getting my system back on track for normal & consistent elimination. I took enough with me on a 4-mo getaway but ran out before getting back home. I had this on auto delivery but needed it much sooner than my next shipment was scheduled for. I was able to easily have it shipped now & reschedule my auto delivery plan. Needless to say, I am very happy with this product and the seamless transaction I was able to make. Same best quality every time i am purchasing it

I'd add a picture, but I don't think the viewing public would like to see what the effects of this product do. Bulk. Formed bulk. fewer interactions with a toilet each day, and easier. easier passage, easier cleanup. But, drinking this will give you an idea of what it is like to eat what horses eat. That said, this product is better flavor and texture of other psyllium fiber products.

I saw a lot of people recommending this for gastritis or acid reflex, and it definitely helped me! This is not something that will dissolve, it's more like oatmeal. It's really easy to use, and the value of it is a must. The first few times I drank it, I am not going to lie, I gagged. Not necessarily because of the flavor, but because of the texture. Within the 4th or 5th day, I got used to it and was no longer a problem.

Almost exactly the same as what used to be M. This works as well as the other product but WITHOUT THE ORANGE I hate orange!

I have ordered this product for a very long time. This time the ingredients were much thinner with black dots in it. The color is now a light blond instead of a beige. It was very thin when I mixed it with water unlike the usual consistency. i tried to call the 800 number listed for the company and the number would not go through. What happened with this?
