Fix ye olde phone cable in a jiffy
Never thought I'd be crimping phone cables in 2024 but here we are. I had a cable pulled out of the jack and the plug separated from the cable. One quick crimp of this plug and I was able to send faxes again like it was 1992. I have no idea if I'll need the other 49 plugs at any point but the price was great.

Works great
Works good with round 4 wire phone cable used it with a 300ft spool called Tupavco that’s sold on Amazon as well. Contacts hold the wire well and did not pull out after crimping with a punch down tool.

Not easy to get the wires in the right place, but I am old and I can't see you like I used to.

RJ 11 Phone Jacks "Flat" and "Round" Wire (October 2020)
I'm going to post the same review for both items since there is only a slight design difference. In the one photo you can see how they're packaged. Nice plastic bags of 50. If you can see the number across the top of the bags one ends in FS and the other in RD. I can only imagine it stands for "flat" and "round". In the other two pics I tried to show the only difference I can see. The one designed for round wire has a slightly larger opening than the one for use with flat wire. You could use the larger one for flat wire. The connection would be the same but it is a looser fit. The connector wants to fall off on the way to the crimping tool! This doesn't happen when using the flat connector with flat wire. Literally made for each other.I didn't try to get round wire in the flat one. Maybe you could manage to get it in there but keeping twisted pairs, lets say, in the proper order is hard enough without trying to cram them into a smaller opening. They crimp well in the tool I also bought from Amazon (see separate review), they "click' well in the phones or jacks and seem to be all they are supposed to be.Oh! and no, you don't need to strip the individual wires before loading the jack. You slide them in the back in the right order. As far forward as you can, and the crimping forces the gold blades to make a connection. There is a knack to getting just the right length of exposed wires out of jacket so the jacket also gets crimped in place for extra support but that's about it. It's really not too hard. Hopefully I'll never need 50 of each but at least I have room for practice and a few mistakes!

I only needed 1
I ran Cat6 lines down the walls and made a rack in the laundry room closet to put the router etc in there because I couldn’t handle the noise from the DVR on the security system. Well I forgot one important thing…my office phone line has to plug into it. Solution: I put a Cat3 keystone in the wall and took the opposite end of the line and attached the RJ-11 to it and plugged it into the router/box and it worked perfectly! I really didn’t have any trouble getting the Cat6 lines in there, it was a snug fit, and I made sure I crimped it well but didn’t have any problems and it works perfectly!
