Extreme Portability, Good Quality
We’ve been using this for about 4 years and I think it’s really a good bang for the buck. I love the brand. I see these have come a long way since the original, but we’ve been happy for what it offers.

Great portable projector for some impromptu family fun, supports YouTube accounts unlike older model
Great little projector. Works well in dim settings like camping, the park, movie night outside, etc., but obviously not very useful during daytime since it's only 200 lumens. Great for watching home movies from the phone with the kids before bed.I had some questions about the product that I couldn't get clear answers for, so I'll put them here to help the next person:Q: Can you log into a Youtube account in the app?A: Yes! Since I pay for YouTube premium to remove ads, this was important to me. This was not supported on the older Capsule. (Note: I'm not talking about YouTube TV app which isn't available on the Max). Youtube Kids is also supported.Q: Does the Max support Netflix and Hulu out of the box?A: Yes, both are supported and work well. The apps don't work great with the remote; some things require mouse mode which just isn't that great with the remote, but works perfectly via the Nebula Connect smartphone app.Q: Can you rearrange or remove default icons on the home screen?A: No, not in the latest firmware as of Nov 9, 2020.Q: Is Disney+ supported?A: No. I've read that it's possible to get Google Play Store enabled by contacting support and installing it that way but have not yet tried.Q: Does the Max play well with AirPlay?A: Yes, much better than I even expected. I wanted to play home movies from the IOS Photos app and it was as simple as clicking Share, then Airplay, then selecting the Capsule. Screen mirroring from the IOS Control Center also worked well, but keep in mind it will not support copyrighted content.Q: Is there any type of zoom functionality to increase/decrease the picture size?A: No, the only way is to move the Max closer to or further from the screen.Q: Can you project onto a ceiling?A: Yes. This was an unexpected bonus, but it works well and so does autofocus and auto keystone correction. But you need to be careful how you place the projector for this. The cooling fan is on the back, so you shouldn't lay it on a blanket directly, and its shape prevents it from staying in proper orientation on a flat surface. I used a tripod with a 90deg tilt.Q: Is the speaker loud?A: Surprisingly yes. Loud enough that I ask the kids to turn it down.Q: How long does the battery last?A: I've gotten just under 3.5 hours. When you setup power saving in the device, it claims a max of 3.5 hours which seems to be on the dot. The 4 hour claim here and on the Anker/Nebula sites is when playing local content with WiFi off which I did not verify.Hopefully the above will help the next person looking to purchase this device.

Very good portable projector
Bought this on August 2020My goal while buying this projector was to have a portable screen, with an okay resolution (720p was enough), that I could take with me while travelling and could use to watch shows anywhere I wanted, as a secondary objective I wanted to be able to use it as an second screen for my laptop while travelling. After months of using it, this is what I realized:- Auto focus is really nice and saves a lot of time when moving it;- Keystone correction is also good but be aware that only corrects the image vertically. If you want to do it horizontally you will have to do it manually;- Phone app is intuitive to use (for me), I just use that instead of the remote control;- Nebula Apps, I've used Netflix, Crunchyroll, Spotify, Youtube and Amazon Prime Video. The only app that really made me lose my patience was Amazon Prime Video, I could not configure subtitles;- Screen mirroring, I bought this version because I was used to screen mirror my phone to my old TV directly (no chromecast), I never liked the TV/Projectors inbuilt apps and I think it is much easier to control apps over my phone. But it was kind of a bummer, none of the apps would broadcast to Nebula (something related to privacy?). If you want to do screen mirroring, go for chromecast or any other dongle that does that;- Do you want to game on it?, well, I didn't, but if I could I would be happy. The latency delay on this projector is high, I could feel it while playing any fighting games on a Switch. It works well for games that don't require quick actions. Also because of the delay, I couldn't use this as a second screen for my laptop, it is not responsive enough.- Battery, I was impressed at first, it would need charge only after 1:30/2:00 hours of watching shows. A couple months ago I started getting a 20% battery warning after 20-30 minutes of use, but it still lasts about 1:30 hours, don't know if this is a bad sign;- Brightness: My living room is not too dark and it performs really well there, I have nothing to complain about its brightness;- Fans are very quiet, really you won't hear them;- Speakers can get loud, I haven't used more than 40% of its capacity and my main objective was to watch shows and not use it to play music; Conclusion: I waited for a deal before buying this, it was definitely worth it even though I haven't been travelling much (thank Covid). I use it every day in my bedroom to watch shows, I'm happy with the image quality and the existing features provided to watch shows. If you want to use it for something else, it might not be the product for you.
