We recently moved to a home with well water and of course, it provides our home with hard water full of minerals. While we love the well, I hate what it does to my hair. I am very blonde and the minerals turn my hair a very dull shade of dishwater blonde. I use this on my hair once per week and my hair is still as bright as the day I paid my hairdresser to color it. These little packets seem to work best with Malibu Shampoo and Conditioner for Hard Water so I would suggest you get this as well. These packets have saved me so much time and money. Follow the directions and you will not regret it!

We have a well with hard water that leaves hair feeling very heavy. I use this about once a month and it always takes the hard water chemicals out and leaves my hair feeling super soft. I color my hair and it doesn't change the color at all - just leaves my hair feeling soft.

Have always loved Malibu C products! We have hard well water and this product remove mineral build up from your hair and hair product residue. This is like a shampoo product, but you shampoo your hair first, then use the product, shampoo again then condition. You can leave on up to 5 min, and you do NOT apply heat to this specific product.

Not only to help with hard water but removes product buildup.

Rogue sunscreen made its way into my blonde extensions turning them an awesome orange / pink color… and this stuff to the rescue! I did 2 packets- a day apart- and it all came out! I have the water wellness on hand now as well for the summer. Do yourself a favor- keep these around and make sure you switch to mineral sunscreen for the blonde extension locks out there!

I have naturally curly hair and recently my water quality at home has changed. My hairdresser recommended this due to the hard water - she was so right! I use it once a week and my hair is softer and the frizziness so much less. Works great!

If you have demi-permanant dye in your hair or toner, and did not use this product right before your salon visit, do not use this product until right before you go back to the salon. On the other hand, if you want to strip your color, do use this product.I went to the salon 8 days prior to using this. I did my research first. I'm actually a bit obsessive about researching so it prolongs purchasing things. I've wanted to use a clarifier for a while, since I learned about them, because I have very hard well water. This one was the winner for me. My hair is primarily bleached, with root growth of about 5 months that I get highlighted regularly to blend. Then it gets toned to different shades, depending on what I'm going for. This product, on one hand is amazing. My hair has never felt so clean. My natural hair that has grown in since fully bleaching my hair was shiny, smooth, and beautiful. What I wasn't expecting was for the rest of my hair to be completely stripped back to the bleach only. It went from a creamy chocolate (stunning blonde; I highly recommend trying that color toner) to a super light, summer blonde.After reaching out to malibu c on their Facebook page, they informed me that if I didn't use this treatment on my hair prior to getting it done, the color would sit on the mineral buildup and therefore come off with it. I greatly appreciate their feedback and learning this. I asked if they would consider putting this information in their directions or product description. They did not respond. So, while I don't leave long reviews typically, I'd like others who research products to be able to take into consideration there is a time to use Malibu C hardwater treatment, and it is not after going to the salon and paying for the hair you want, it is before. I will continue to use this product because it is amazing, albeit at the right time.I gave it 3 stars for the misleading information which caused me to wash $$$ down the drain but the treatment itself is 5 stars.

This product really works to remove Iron and other heavy metals from hard water off of your hair. I have used many, many products for this purpose as I have well water with very high Iron content. This product works the best. My hair turns dark orange from the build up. I use it monthly when my hair isn't too bad but sometimes I use it a couple times a week. I also color my hair and highlight it and I am able to use this product to lift the metal residue off with no problem. Also , if you leave it on for 20 minutes with a hair cap or bag to hold in some heat, it really boosts it's effects.
