A good boomerang for casual throwing
I have owned Eric Darnell's Pro-Fly boomerangs for decades, and they fly well in the open air and are very durable. I am not a pro, but am able to throw these well enough that I can catch them before they hit the ground (when the wind is right and I am in really good form). These are my boomerang of choice, although I also like the tri-blade from the same source.

Works well, fun to play with might not last
A lot of fun, and pretty easy to use- my son watched a video or 2 of how to properly throw a boomerang and was doing pretty well right away. Unfortunately, he pretty quickly got it stuck in a very high tree branch. We were able to shake it loose using a bouquet of helium balloons LOL (it was his bday ). The bad news-- when it fell from the branch, it came through another tree and snapped in half when it hit it. Sooo, that was unexpected. That said, he had so much fun with it, and was so bummed, I ordered him a replacement the next day. We wound up ordering another one a day later to give as a gift for my other son because it was so much fun. Long story short, it's a fun toy, it works well, but thrower beware, if you are even a little bit close to any trees at all, it could end badly. But totally worth it.

A bit tricky for beginners till you get the technique right
As a newbie (who is doing relatively well with tri-wing boomerangs), I struggled with this boomerang for a couple of days. Watching other people's videos kept me puzzled what I was doing wrongFor me personally:(1) holding the rang on the lift arm (the one with the hole) provided the right amount of spin(2) I used about 35° layover angle in close-to-zero breeze condition(3) I threw it at about 15-20° above the horizon with a decent amount of forceFinally, the rang started returning to me reliably each time after making a pretty large elliptical flight path and hovering just at the right moment for an easy catch! :-)Bottom line, please don't give up. It is worth the treat once you have this figured out

Plastic but works well
The boomerang was made of plastic so it was easier to break, but it works very well and comes back easily.
