Pennington 100086848 Smart Seed Kentucky Blue Blend, 7-Pound

Although im not a landscaper by any means, I do enjoy taking care of my yard and doing yard work. So when it was time for me to reseed, I came across this. I used to use Scott's seeds, but Im not really sure if im getting quality vs getting a quality name brand. As in all of my reviews, I like to give pro's and con's. This one is going to be little bit tricky, cause I am simply reseeding. Positives 1. The shipping with prime came extremly fast and the price was pretty much the same as you can expect at a home depot or lowes. 2. Quality? Well im not a scientist nor a landscaper, but from what a novice person can tell this is pure seed. 3. Does this work? I have to say yes, but I am simply reseeding as I do every year. But can I honestly tell the difference between this stuff and other seed's ive bought in the past? No. Negatives. There really are no negatives. Its a great product from a great company. Pennington I believe is underrated compared to Scott's. But I also believe you can get something cheaper for simply reseeding.I have to say smart seed Has to be a gimmick. Really its seed, come on now. Whenever you reseed or see your lawn, you always ALWAYS have to water frequently and daily for at least 2 weeks. Now that i think of it, 4 stars will do. Can't give it 5 cause i cant tell the difference between that and the other stuff i have put down in the past. And cause of the smart seed gimmick, 4 is a great ratingThis is a great product. I have used Pennington before and i have used this now. My grass always looks full and green, but like everything else you have to maintain it.

Best Kentucky bluegrass seed out on the market, hands-down, this year I was on a mission to clean up my yard and get my grass to grow in it was really bad I went through several different types of grass and provided by several several different vendors and in all honesty Pennington Kentucky bluegrass was the hottest but the most successful one to take old I first checked with soap was so little samples checked to see what I needed in my ground which was nitrogen and pot ash and I had to lower the acidity Which I did but then after that when I put the Pennington seed down and some Pete Moss over it it really grew in very nicely and other vendors grass seeds don’t measure up I know because I’ve tried pretty much all of them

Last fall I had large parts of lawn burnt out, after some research I decided to reseed with kentucky because it is supposed to better withstand heat and sun. While I got some seed to grow I also got a ton of weeds. I know I got weeds from this seed because the weeds are peculiar for this part of the country and only came up where I put down this seed.

I best seed I have come across because its pure Kentucky Blue Grass and unlike Scott's at rip off prices, this product does very well for me in shade. You see growth a week or so after seeding. I highly recommend it.

Still early stages but it seems it growing very well, took about 2 weeks to see first results, now its about a month after seeding. So far so good. I'm at central Mexico, similar climate to LA. Far better results than scotts. I am thinking about getting another 2 bags for fall.

This is a high quality grass seed mixture that produces deep lush sod.

Didn't grow more than 1/4 inch in any area I planted it.

Delivered as stated. Grass is coming in very nice.
