MHQJRH M.2 2280 SSD heat sink with mounting screw kit for ASUS

Solid product and kept the 970 Evo temperatures lower, but after 2 years the bearing started to go and making this a high-pitched whining grinding noise. Extremely irritating

Mounting kit worked as expected.

I have a Samsung m.2 950 PRO SSD mounted in a Lycom DT-120 M.2 to PCIe adapter. Unfortunately, they are installed in the PCIe slot adjacent to my graphics card. I noticed that the SSD temperature, as measured by the Samsung Magician app spiked to 72 degrees C after I ran the Samsung Magician performance benchmark. My Samsung m2 960 PRO SSD, mounted 2 slots away from the graphics card, stayed below 47 degrees C after the benchmark ... so it was the excess heat from the graphics card (which was idle at the time) that was causing the higher temp on the first SSD in the "hot" slot.I installed the M.2 cooler with fan, plugged it into an available power tap, and re-ran the SSD benchmark.The peak temperature dropped from 72 degrees to 47 degrees C ... a 25 degree Celsius drop.The M.2 cooler works as advertised.I gave the product only 4 stars because there were no instruction how to install the cooler included with packaging (which was complete, otherwise). The Amazon product description showed the installation instructions, which were easy to follow. Separating the paper from the double-sided heat transfer tape was a bit tricky.

Everything is a seller descibed, and arrived in a sturdy box. The quality control doesn't seem to be there though. The aluminum heat sink was bowed, and doesn't make good enough contact, to offer any difference in cooling. In the end, I had an old chipset heatsink, that I cut to size. But I did use the rubber bands, as they were good quality.

My new M.2 NVMe drive was getting to hot for my comfort so I decided to send for this mini-BEAST and boy does it work. I watched my temps drop from its usual 52 C on load down to only 43 C on load, nearly a 78% better heat reduction than its usual thermal stickers. I can't wait to see what it does when I eventually get a new airflow ATX tower. I HIGHLY recommend it if you're having issues with your M.2 overheating or just looking to baby your PC for safe sake.

Fan doesn't spin. tried the SATA power included in the box, that didn't work, so took off the SATA power adapter and jammed it on a PWM header, still nothing. Unless there's some fancy software on the fan where it only kicks in at a certain temprature, which I doubt, then i'll retract my statement. but as of yet, it's just a glorfied heatsink. but to be fair, I don't think the fan will make a massive improvement. I mainly bought it simply because it looks cool, and it does, I'll give it that.

Worked well for about 8 months, then fan quit, but company issued full refund. Still does a pretty good job without the fan, about 30°C cooler with the heatsink alone under load, then another 2-5°C cooler when the fan's working.

These work fantastic in desktop PCs. I've installed in about 10 Dell Optiplex SFF machines. Great thermal performance and no fan issues. These are my go-to for NVMe upgrades in desktops. Obviously, these have no application in a laptop. (FYI) For laptops I only use thermal pads similar to the ones included with this kit to sink the heat from the NVMe to the main board.

Le petit bémol : les deux lingettes "Wet" et "Dry" n'étaient pas fournies. Montage très facile (attention, le coussinet blanc-orange ne comporte qu'un seul film plastique à retirer, côté blanc, alors que le bleu en comporte un de chaque côté). Le ventilateur est inaudible (après branchement sur une alim SATA, vérifiez que le ventilateur tourne, sinon inversez le sens du branchement). Gains de 5°C-6°C au repos, pouvant même aller à 20°C (56°C au lieu de 75°C) en pleine charge pour un NVMe Samsung 970 EVO Plus (j'utilise le 1 To). Livré en approximativement 3 semaines.

Habe nur die beigefügten Klebestreifen genutzt und dann mit sehr viel Druck (nur Finger) den Kühlkörper zusammen gepresst und die Schrauben dann fest gezogen (das hat dann auch noch mal fast 10 Grad Celsius ausgemacht). Im Leerlauf habe ich jetzt 33 Grad und unter maximaler Last mit DiskMark um die 50 Celsius. Perfekt!

Mein Kühler funktionierte am Anfang "passabel" die Kühlung war bei mir geringer als erwartet, aber akzeptabel.Leider ist bei mir nach 3 Monaten oder so der Lüfter sehr Laut geworden und "quietscht". Würde ich nicht noch mal kaufen. Ich betreibe den Kühler jetzt ohne Lüfter.

El primero que pedí no funcionaba pero me enviaron otro sin problema. El nuevo funciona perfectamente y baja algunos grados la temperatura del m2. Recomendable para el precio que tiene. Rápida respuesta del vendedor a la hora de solucionar las cosas.
