Warning: May Cause Permanent Willingness To Trek
Before I begin to write this review, I must call to attention I am female.I know that this brand specifies for male skin. However, being the bold, inquisitive individual that I am, saw the ratings of this particular enticing face wash, and knew it to be the one sacred panacea for my lingering facial angst. What I was not prepared for were the aftereffects.I was greeted with a pleasant smell of peppermint, which to my delicate female senses appeased me. However, being female, I seemed to lack the appropriate amount of upper body strength to open this small package, and had to trek twenty miles to our local French fur trading outpost to request for such assistance. I then, braving the wintry winds and intense flurries to the homestead, proceeded to begin the morning ritual with this new tincture of sorcery. I savored the refreshing scent, a soothing, deceptively easy lull encroaching my countenance with the assurance that though it was for men, ladies could don it with equality. I then applied a vigorous amount to my underprepared pores and waited for the magic to arise.A soothing plethora greeted me, first as a hint of it caressing the very surface to my skin until, like a pathogen of the worst order, began to sink in and spread its' horrifyingly intense energy into my very blood, racing and pounding like the distant drums of a powwow dance. Even despite frantic scrubbing and repeated washings, I have yet to sleep, I have the intense urge to ford rivers and shoot bison and can run like the greatest bean-induced wind you can ever see. I can swill like the best of bar maids, and have now acquired a taste for stoic silence and blustery bravado. If you ever see someone sprinting down the deep forests in nothing but buckskin and a bow, don't worry, it's me just having my morning run.(In all seriousness, my brother really loved it, and it seems to have done a great deal for the redness and dryness for his skin. 5 out of 5 stars.)

Good stuff but definitely expensive!
I was under the impression that three bottles were coming for $16. My mistake. In any case, the stuff is super amazing on the face, but for $16 for one small bottle, I can't justify spending that much for face wash again. For five or six dollars a bottle, no problem. But the stuff is just too expensive in my opinion. If you have the money, however, and you don't care about spending $16 on "men's" face wash, definitely try it out. Gives a nice little jolt in the morning.

Old face wash was better.
I used to enjoy their old face wash. This one seems slapped together. He uses too much peppermint to just get the 'feel' of cleansing. And looking at the ingredients, $16 is way out of line. There is also a big push for reviews for free product from the owner, so beware of reviews. Looks like it is time to find a different company.

Another quality Chief's product!
I've been a fan of Chief's for years, first being hooked on their pine wash. The Invigorating Facial Cleanser smells nice, like a combination of mint and eucalyptus. It lathers up really well and leaves my skin feeling clean without feeling oily or dry.The only thing I didn't like was the lid. The bottle I received had a lid that you have to take all the way off, which is fine if you're washing at a sink, but sucks in the shower. Reading the directions it seems like it used to have a snap lid as it says to squeeze out a nickel-sized amount into your hands.I would like it more if the peppermint/eucalyptus fragrance lasted longer than just the few minutes I'm washing. All said, 4/5, would buy again.

They changed it, and it's not good anymore.
This product used to be good. It used to actually be a gel, came in a tube which made it easy to control the flow and use in general, used to make my face tingle like no other product I had used, and used to smell super invigorating. They changed it. Every one of those features I just listed above are now worse.- It's a liquid now (not a gel as advertised)- It comes in a hard bottle, with a regular ol' cap - way harder to regulate how much comes out. Killed the experience, especially in a shower setting. The hard bottle with no small hole at the top (just the full, open bottle) makes it totally lame to use now, and the fact that it's no longer a gel allows for super easy spillage. No bueno.- The product no longer makes my face tingle nearly as much like the old version. Way less effective in that sense.- The smell is much less potent than before.Bottom line, they gutted all the parts of this product that made it good. If you're coming back as a repeat expecting the old version but in a different bottle, just don't bother. If you're a first timer, I'd no longer recommend it. At this point there has to be better similar products out there.

Surprisingly good
I'm not the type of guy who buys a lot of cosmetics. In fact, I've only ever owned one or two bottles of men's face wash in my life. I bought this facial cleanser after moving to Mexico. In the constant heat and sun, I started to see a lot of small acne show up around the top of my forehead and hairline. I have a handful of other guy friends including my brother who regularly use deep scrubs and have said how great they are, so I took the plunge with Chief's in the hopes that it would work. I didn't expect much to be honest but my acne was spreading and I had to do something. I've been using it now once or twice a day for a couple weeks and the results are incredible. With the exception of a few tiny spots, my acne is completely gone. I also feel like a few lines around my eyes (I'm only 38) have disappeared, but maybe that's wishful thinking. Pretty stoked with this purchase overall and looking forward to continuing to use it for months. Worth every cent in my books.
