Hot pot for Aeropress. Coffee. Yum.
This Javajug is a great accessory for the Aeropress. I just went to look and am glad I bought it last spring. I can't find them on Amazon today, 1/29/17 and it says they don't know if they will be back in stock. Maybe because it was pretty expensive for what it is and the cozy make it even more pricey. I paid $28.90 for my JavaJug, cozy combo. The Aeropress is sold separately.I love that my Aeropress and it's stuff stays together and clean in the JavaJug. They should have made more cozy colors to choose from. They only had red, blue and grey. I do wish that the top latch held a little better. At home it is no big deal because it sits on the counter by my coffee stuff and never tips over but while traveling and camping it has opened up a few times resulting me in chasing down parts in the coffee/tea/cooking stuff bin and having to wash the parts before using them. I am going to try and bend the latch a little to grab better.I love the measuring lines in it. I usually just make americano by pressing and topping it up with hot water. I love the stainless for looks and functionality. The cozy keeps my coffee hot for the 2nd cup. If this thing had a lip protector I would drink out of it. It keeps the coffee warm better than my mug. I need a mug cozy to keep my coffee hot. I preheat the Javajug, Aeropress and my coffee mug with boiling water before I start making coffee and still the mug gets cold fast especially when camping. I guess I need to drink faster. They say you can boil water in it but the handle gets really hot and it is hard to maneuver on the stove while trying not to catch the hot pad on fire. I tried it on our campstove once after taking the cozy off and will not use it on a burner, electric or gas again. It is too narrow for safety and the stainless is a little discolored from that adventure. Also after boiling water in it I was concerned that it was too hot to put the cozy back on. Sticking to the teapot for boiling water. As for washing it up I haven't had rusting on the latch pin and latch like some other reviews but I don't put it in the dishwasher or in soapy water. I just put some hot water in it, dump that out and wipe it out with a paper towel and let it air dry. Same with the Aeropress. I just rinse that with hot water after pressing and dumping the grounds on the flower bed at home or in the trash, wiping with paper towel then letting that air dry.Overall I would buy this again and would recommend it to other Aeropress users.

Love it!
In a way it seems a silly useless idea, but the reality is, if you take sugar and froth milk, and use an aeropress you need to dispense the coffee someplace to add sugar, and froth your milk in something else. This allows me to make a couple coffee's from aeropress into the javajug and add sugar, then froth my milk in my coffee cups and just pour from the java jug into my coffee cup... it really is helpful and I like being able to store my aeropress in it and it looks nice on my counter in this also.

Travel companion for the Aeropress.
I purchased the JavaJug2 as a portable travel companion for my aeropress to allow me to both store and share different styles of beverages along the way.At first glance the JavaJug2 is very visually appealing with a similar aesthetic to that of astainless steel French Press. It is very light while still maintaining resiliency. The JavaJacket is also a nice addition that, while aesthetically pleasing, also provides much needed functionality.ProsThis product elegantly provides a way of serving multiple persons in one sitting with the traditionally single serve brew method that is coffee lovers know simply as the Aeropress. The laser etched fluid level lines on the interior of the JavaJug2 do not scratch not wash off. The 32oz container itself is very spacious allowing you to either store the Aeropress with a portable grinder or with the paddle scoop and even a frothing wand if you choose to do so. The lid allows you to maintain the cleanliness of your Aeropress’s brewing surface. If you prefer to use the Aeropress funnel instead of the lid, the Java Jacket offers enough elasticity to secure the funnel in place of the lid. The JavaJacket provides insulation to the otherwise single walled container to keep beverages hot or cold for longer. Finally the strap of the JavaJacket offers stability to the lid to keep your Aeropress contained for travel.ConsWhile well made, the latch provides little functional use for storage/travel. As a result the Aeropress and other stores accessories will not remain in place. The JavaJacket resolves this issue but makes the latch pretty unnessesary. Also though aesthetically pleasing the handle is fairly substantial for those who will use this for travel, especially compared to other travel or camping coffee options that have some form of collapsible handle. All in all the JavaJug2 is a functional travel and storage companion for the Aeropress that slows you to share your favorite Aeropress coffee with multiple people either at home in the office or on the go, just add water.

Two Stars
Appeared to be a first class item but when it arrived, it wasn't made well and was flimsy.

Simple design. Kinda Klunky. Worse part?i had to pay return shipping
Very simple design. Like something a high school engineering major could do.Clumsy, not very useful.I returned it after 5 minute of unboxing itThe worse part? I had to pay return shipping on a poorly made piece of crap that I would never had bought had I held it in my hand before buying.

Perfect Aeropress Accessory
This is the perfect Aeropress Accessory! It holds everything so nicely and the markings on the inside work like a dream. I'd like to see it improved with a detachable handle or something. That would make it even easier for travel. I did not find the clasp challenging to operate, as other reviewers mentioned. It could be a bit more secure when the Aeropress is loaded in. Often the top pops off during travel. I would use the velcro strap to solve this problem, but that's used to strap my coffee grinder on the side. Other than that, it's great!

Great quality and huge
I really like the size of the javajug it holds everything very well. The only thing I don't like about it is the fit of the locking mechanism. Without the lid it closes over the aeropress and clamps it down but doesn't actually hook on the lip like i would like it to. I understand there are limitations thought. Overall fantastic product, quality and I and very happy with this purchase for my aeropress

Very handy!
Its nice for splitting batches of aeropress coffee. The jacket does help keep it warm. The inside of the jug has easily read markings for measurements. And the aeropress and javajug nest together which is awesome for travel/storage. I have one that packages everything up neatly at work and I just ordered another one for home.Great for splitting coffee and you brew into the javajug...no risk of breaking mugs/cups that are likely more fragile than stainless steel.

Rust after just a month on outside weld
Already signs of rust on outside weld after just a couple uses. Bought this for simple home use so I will definitly be looking for something else If I were you.If they had a version without latch for lid I might consider it. Since that's where the rust is appreaing.

I love it.
Had this jug for ages now, just writing my review. No rust, and it's still as great as it was when I got it. It's a perfect holder for an aeropress and perfect when you want to make multiple cups of coffee!LOVE MY JAVA JUG!

Should be Dishwasher safe.
It is really elegant that it fits the Aeropress so nicely. This product has a good future.I just can't accept that, for the price, it isn't dishwasher safe. I'll hand wash mine but pressure should be put on the builder to make this really convenient and dishwasher safe.

Great addition to my beloved Aeropress
The jug I originally received had a defective latch that broke. The seller was prompt in responding to my concern and sent me a new one. Great customer service! All in all, it's a great addition to my Aeropress. Now I can make enough coffee in one go to last me my day. The neoprene sleeve keeps the coffee warm for a bit but given that the jug is steel (but not double-walled), heat retention isn't great. Lucky for me, I actually enjoy my coffee once it's cold.
