i have a few of them i think that they are very good i have them for my outside lights my blanket my bedside lamb. and i have fitted one in my cupboard down stairs so when my dog gets down i can tell Alexa off or on save's you a lot of time plus if you have out side lights stick them on a plug and that's you no more running about turning things off and on I've got friends to get them and they won't go past them only thing is you must be patient when setting these up as if like me can lose the plot but i persevered I'm disabled so it was a bit difficult for me to keep un plugin in and out so they do take a bit of time but once you do it and download the app and the good thing is that you can do it all from your phone or if you have echo dot that's all you need so down load the application then do one at a time and your all set up you will not be disappointed with these just remember that they will NOT work on 5G must be 4G so if you're network is on 5g switch it to 4g before you start or you will end up not getting them to pair up hope this helps you

On the plus side, the plug is robust. Setting up this product is, however, difficult. Problem 1: Asks to set up "plug" in the Tuya app - there is no plug - it's called another name. Problem 2: my WiFi broadcasts at 2.4 and 5 - it sees the 5, and won't connect AT ALL!?!? I had to go into my router and disable broadcasting at 5. This is a little negligent on the engineers of this device. Problem 3: Tricky to set up the button on the plug to be ready for pairing with WiFi. Bit flakey, would sometimes turn itself off after 15 seconds. I was going to return item until I figured all this out. Problem 4: I assumed the USB on/off would also be smartly controlled. No. It just works as a USB power point all the time. Very poor, missed opportunity. Could do better.

Okay.... I love a bargain and like trying new automation things. I love my Echos and my wife always leaves her bedside lamp on...For £13 these should be a breeze.Actually these are a bit tricky to set up but once one is set up the rest fall into place.My advice is to set up the app first, you need a phone number to merge the alexa and tuya app. One that is done set up the plugs. Then and only them set up Alex Tuya skill.Going to buy more on payday and automate everything in the world

There are many of these wifi plugs available these days. I tried a smaller version than this one that constantly disconnected and failed miserably in a few weeks. Not so with these plugs. They have been 100% reliable right out out of the box reconnecting themselves automatically when i have had cause to reboot the router. The Tuyasmart app that the plugs work with is reliable and easy to use. Not the most compact wifi plug but the usb port is a welcome bonus. Overall happy with these so far and will buy more if needed.

Nothing to dislike . I bought these to use with Alexa they are 40 to 50 feet away from the router which is in my lounge and the 2 sockets are out in a log cabin and control a light and a heater out there and are working well . So nice to be able to say "Alexa Heater on " thirty minutes before i want to go out to my sanctuary and then "Alexa light on" just before i go out there (pitch black at the end of the garden this time of year). So yes i like them and find them very handy and versatile...... Also have more in the house and ok asking alexa to turn on the kettle may be a bit lazy ,but then why not make life nice and easy sometimes

Just arrived, a bit tricky to set up at first then realised that my BT Home router transmits on both 2.4ghz AND 5ghz. The sockets only work on the 2.4ghz frequency (as stated). However you need to disable the 5ghz channel temporarily for the pairing to be successful. You can reactivate 5ghz after and it works fine.Seems pretty good so far.PS Wonder how vulnerable this makes us all to getting hacked by the country of manufacturer???? Just a thought.

Bought these to use with Alexa, used them for the xmas tree lights and saved bending and stretching to turn the lights on and off, have them attached to a lamp on my stairs to turn on and off when we are out or away as security. Better then normal timers as you can change the times.
