This blanket has changed my life! I had never tried a weighted blanket before and knew there was some good research out there showing the many benefits of these. I deal with a lot of daily anxiety and have a lot of pain from Rheumatoid Arthritis. I have always had trouble sleeping. I would flip and flop and toss and turn constantly trying to get into a restful sleep. I would always wake up so tired because I could never relax and settle into a deep sleep for long. It was a constant negative cycle. Enter Huggaroo, and things started changing from the very first night! The soft, plush exterior felt amazing to the touch. The weight isn't too heavy at all and it did not make me hot or feel overheated. The gentle weight of this blanket caused my body to calm down and start relaxing very quickly. Before I knew it I was asleep. Here's the best part...it was quality sleep! Sleep I had been missing out on and craving for years! I just couldn't believe how well my body responded to the gentle, calming weight of this blanket! I cannot recommend the Huggaroo enough for anyone who struggles with anxiety and trouble relaxing/sleeping.Another great feature of this blanket is that it isn't too large. This makes it easy to transport to another room or even pack it for travel. It's also washable and that is very important to me.I hope this review is helpful to anyone who is considering this blanket. It has made a big difference in the way I sleep and feel the next day! Worth every penny.

I have to give this blanket 5 stars on principle alone (although at deserves 5 stars for every other reason as well), Haggaroo's customer service is beyond anything I could've hoped for. The email they sent me actually made me tear up. I'm a mother to a freshly diagnosed 2 year old son on the autism spectrum, so I got him this blanket because even before I knew he was ASD I knew he liked pressure. The blue duvet cover is so soft. Yes it leaves little fuzzies but in the grand scheme I have 5 kids so little blue fuzzies are the least of my worries that's why I bought a vacuum years ago (and the shedding does stop within 24 hrs and to be honest I barely noticed it, I never even had to break out the vacuum). The relief this blanket brought my son the fist time I draped it over him made it worth every penny. I also read in the product description that upon receipt of your new blanket you should secure it to the duvet cover with the 5 ties. However, mine arrived already secured which was a thoughtful homemade type of touch that made me like it even more. Also, my little boy has asthma on top of everything else so I always worry about strong odors. This blanket actually smelled like sweet mint when I pulled it out of the bag I kid you not and it was such a welcome surprise after receiving other things from Amazon that smell like rubber tires and funk. We took this with us to my sonogram appointment because my son can sometimes act like he's got rabies and low and behold, he sat in the chair on daddy underneath his blanket the entire time. He's never done that. Thank you Haggaroo, even if this blanket never worked for my son again it was worth the money for the precious peace we've gotten during the 24 hours he's had it, but fingers crossed it continues to charm him!* I'm editing this review days later to say that this blanket is life. Idk how we survived without it. I will never go another day in my life without having this blanket. My boy loves it and it's obvious, which is a big deal because he's non verbal so it's sometimes difficult to tell when he does actually like something (it's super easy to tell when he DOESN'T like something though lol).If this review has been helpful to you please click the thumbs up "helpful button". This Huggaroo blanket is fantastic! It is super soft, cozy and provides the perfect amount of gentle pressure. Just what we need for calming breaks throughout the day. Great for using as a lap throw or as a small blanket on a bed as well as for travel. Works great to bring along for meetings and appointments. We love the soothing blue color. Seems to be durable and easy to care for. We also have the Hungaroo large blanket and the neckwrap. This smaller blanket has different filling than the larger one and feels like the pressure is more evenly distributed. But the large blanket is amazingly soothing and comfortable as it covers the entire bed. Can’t say enough about the quality of Huggaroo products. Looking forward to seeing more products from this company. THANKS HUGGAROO!!

Be careful with the weighted blankets - you may want to sample different weights - I found we didn't need very much, 5lbs is enough. This blanket is well made. The outside is cozy and soft. The weighted insert is stabilized with ties which so far, have held and kept the weight evenly distributed. This blanket is the size of a throw not a bedspread. Yes would purchase again.

I bought this as a gift for my niece who has little ones. She ended up using it for herself. Her mom is a Pediatric Speech Pathologist who works with children all the time with various issues and she told me the blanket was one of the nicest ones she'd ever seen. Both she and her daughter were impressed with the quality and attention to detail including the soft outer fabric, invisible zipper, and inner and outer layers that can be washed separately.
