Clear Care Plus Cleaning and Disinfecting Solution with Lens Case, Twin Pack (3 Pack)

As I've been told by multiple opthamologists, this is the gold standard for soft contact lens care. It is hydrogen-peroxide-based, so it bubbles up from the bottom to add some physical element to the nightly contact lens cleaning. I wear contacts that should be fine for night and day wear, but my eyes tend to dry out, so I take them out and use this every night. It makes them that much more comfortable.I used Renu and other brands for a while. They just don't clean the proteins off nearly as well as Clear Care. There are now generic versions out there (I guess the pantent or whatever expired). I've tried versions from a couple of different brick-and-mortar retailers, and they seem to be comparable. The packaging and the cases aren't as good, but I suspect that the solution (hydrogen peroxide and water) is the same. Hopefully Amazon will pick up a generic version or two soon.P.S. If you don't follow directions, you'll regret it. I discovered this when my sister started using it, and I used it in the wrong case. I've never felt pain in my eyes like this makes you feel if you don't follow the instructions.

Let me start off by saying I used to use to the standard contact solution where your contacts rest in the figure 8 case. While using that form on case and trying multiple solutions, the most I could wear my contacts was about 8-10 before my eyes became red and irritated. With this case however, I can wear my contacts all day without them feeling any irritation.Pros: Very clean. Very easy to use. Since your contacts are suspended, the gunk that falls to the bottom stays at the bottom rather than on your contacts with a traditional case.Cons: You have to wait 6 hours after putting your contacts in the case for them to be ready to be worn again. It can be painful if you put in contacts in that have not been full dissolved before the 6 hours is up.I would very much so recommend this to anyone who has some trouble with their contacts. It keeps them cleaner and more comfortable to wear.

Clear Care's Cleaning & Disinfecting Solution is difficult to find and I have to wonder if it's because it works too well. I've worn contacts for most of my life and in the decade since I switched to soft lenses (not throw-aways), I've used all sorts of cleaners. None come close to working like this solution does.I normally go through two pair a year because the daily solutions slowly allow build-up of little white (uncomfortable) specks on the lenses. With this cleaner used almost daily, I wore one pair for nearly a year and a half before I noticed any build-up. I switched to my spare pair three months ago and until finding it on Amazon, have been without this cleaner. Finding it here will save me a lot of money.(I did get an eye check a few months ago, and my optometrist thinks highly of this product.)I haven't read the directions lately, but I think the recommendation is to use this once a week or so. Using it nightly did not hurt the lenses in the slightest, and it more than pays for itself.By day, I've found that Costco's inexpensive Kirkland no-rub solution works just fine.

I recently went to the eye doctor to complain about my contacts not fitting well. He gave me a sample of clear care and suggested it was a build up for proteins on my contacts. I honestly didn't believe him but wow this made a huge difference, my contacts haven't felt better when I put them in in the morning. This is definitely expensive but I'm fairly certain I'll be able to extend the life of my contacts longer. This package has 2 16 oz bottles which is better than the 12 oz duo pack for the per ounce price. Also, I don't think it shows it in this picture but the package I got also came with the travel clear care and two cases. I was pleasantly surprised.

I wear contacts nearly all day every day and I notice that when I use any other solution, my eyes start to irritate mid-day. I get the sense that this product deep cleans and do not use any other solution unless I have to (or am planning on putting it in after a nap). But take the warning seriously... if you take it out early and put your contacts on OR use it in a regular contact case, your eyeballs will burn like a mother duck and the panic from wonder if you'll go blind will put you into cardiac arrest -- says my roommate who one time ran out of contact solution and used this as a substitute in a regular contact case without asking me not knowing the potential risk. Also, before you use the case for the first time, rinse it in hot water (and actually, rinse it after each use). Huge difference in how much it "bubbles"

Have been using Clear Care for a number of years now after a bad eye infection from my contacts caused the doctor to recommend this. Have had zero issues with eye infections since then.It definitely burns if you get it in your eye without allowing proper time for the neutralizing disc to take care of the hydrogen peroxide, so I would recommend being careful.It is more costly than traditional saline solution but seems to be worth it. Price is usually better in local stores.

I'm new to contacts and got this thinking it was a simple solution for the contacts but NO .. it disinfect the contacts plus removes protein building up.. well worth the price and for what it does ..Have in mind you have to let it sit overnight for about 6 hr's. so the Hydrogen peroxide solution can do its job and not burn your eyes when you put them in the morning. def read all directions before use, but great price great product. these can be soo pricey at local stores/pharmacies. and def something i recommend to all contact lens users. feels like a fresh pair every-time.

I switched from Costco lens care as I was having some minor complications with my lenses/eye comfort.. Not sure why, but since using the Clear Care i have more lens comfort. I also like that I can use the Clear Care after disinfecting to store my lens in a case.
