Stop wasting money on cheap Lightning Cables that will just prematurely fail!
When I purchase lightning cables I look for a quality built product and feels durable and operates just like the OEM cable from Apple. When those things are missing you end up with a lightning cable that may work for a few days, or a few weeks but these cables should be working for a long time. I end up with one of two things happening typically when I choose to purchase a non OEM lightning cable. 1. I get a message stating the accessory is not compatible and I have to unplug the cable and flip it around and plug it back in (sometimes it works sometimes its a no go). 2. Once the cable has been plugged and unplugged a few times the glue holding the end covers fail and the cable ends come loose exposing the wires, and leading to an eventual failure. The second problem is usually accelerated if you leave the cable in your car and the summer heat gets to them loosening the glue. I am going to be honest, I am not interested I bringing the cable inside or anything like that, I use a product that can take the heat!So far there have only been 3 lightning cables that I have purchased that have not failed and continue to work week after week. 1. Apple OEM 2. Monster 3. +LIFEGUARD.The lifeguard cable is new to me and I am still putting it through the paces so to speak, but so far so good. I would purchase this cable again. The price is less than my other two favorites and it is working just as good. One caveat is that for my car I prefer the monster cable. This cable holds up in the Texas heat even better than the OEM product. The downside is that cable will run you about $30.So do yourself a favor and pick one or five of these up for replacements, extras, or maybe a gift. The price is right, the quality is right, its a no brainer.

Lasted 18 months - not bad
UPDATED REVIEW: My cable lasted 18 months. The lightening end connector (the little metal piece that goes in the iPhone) came out of the plastic housing. There were a few instances also where the cable did not want to charge the phone if I did not rotate the connector 180 degrees. That may have been the original signs of the connector failing. But since these cables are not currently available, this update may now be a moot point. However, thought I'd post an update just in case you needed to know. So far, my Amazon Basic cables are holding up better, but the lightening end of the Amazon Basics cable is a bit thicker than the original iPhone cables, so beware of that. However, the Amazon Basic cables work with my Tech21 Impactology case without removing the case.MY ORIGINAL REVIEWI bought this cable back in early January 2015 and have been using it regularly since then, and it is still doing fine. Good quality and price, and like others have asked about here, if you don't take your case off to charge, the thickness of the end that plugs into the phone is critically important. I have found this one to work just fine no matter which case I have on my phone. I have a slim type case on both my iPhone 5s and my iPhone 5. Note I do use it to charge from my PC USB ports and the Apple AC plug. Works fine with both, and if you use it with your PC, it will sync and backup just fine.

Customer service is good, cables are hit or miss
I'll give them 2 stars for their customer service being pretty good and extremely timely.I had one cord for about 3 months that worked great until the inner wires started coming apart and the casing started breaking. I contacted them, and they sent me another one within a few days, which honestly was great! I've now had the new cord for less than 3 weeks, and it has given me the problems with connection, and now no longer even charges, which leads me to believe the inner wires are again broken/breaking.

Works fine in most situations, rigid cable.
Wire is rigid and doesn't work on one of my Macbook Air USB ports. (Laptop shows it connecting and disconnecting every half second which creates millions of pop up messages to dispatch! The laptop works fine with the Apple cable and every other cable I've ever used (several OEM cables.) Works fine on the other side and when connected to an outlet.

Apple Certified???
All appears to be well with the LIFEGUARD cable, with one noticeable exception; the cable is advertised as "certified" by Apple, but when I plug it into my iPhone6, it triggers a message that states it is NOT certified. It charges the phone as advertised, however, and that is obviously the most important fact. I've seen this mentioned in a few other Amazon reviews, and this is the only reason (so far) to NOT give the product 5 stars.Bottom line, good or bad it leaves a dubious impression.

apple blocked this?
This wire worked for a few days without issue, then for some reason apple pulled the plug - (literally) and is not recognized by my phone and my wife's iPad. I think it had to do with the newer update from apple.

This is the BEST lightning charging cable on the market.
I purchased this charging cable after reading multiple reviews. It was more than I had paid for a cable but with the promise of it being the best, I thought it might be well worth it as over the last six months I had purchased at least a dozen other lightning cables and would be lucky to get a month of use out of them. Seven months later, my husband and I share this one cable. It still works excellent, and it charges our two phones and iPads everyday. For the sake of convince, I am purchasing two more and the auto charger. This was the best charging cable I have ever purchased and that includes the apple cable I received as a Christmas gift that only lasted three months. I also spoke to customer service who contacted me to ask how the product was working for me... I was told if I have any problems to contact them. Wow now that's customer service!!
