B minus: not a bad purchase if you’re on a budget or just want a back up set.
I love good sheets. I need a good weight, breathability and durability, and while softness might generally take a back seat to the more crisp, cool feel for me, smoothness is by no means unimportant. These sheets are all right. I’d say they average about a B minus, for those factors. I had a cotton sateen set which I was hoping to swap these out for, because the sateen has me sleeping a little warm in the FL summer. I knew I’d be sticking within cotton (I absolutely detest microfiber), and had heard percale helps with sleeping cooler. Figured I’d try these out. They have a good snap to them, nice and crisp like hotel sheets, but the comments on how wrinkly they get after washing are true. I just ironed the top sheet to appease my inner neat freak. They shrunk a little in the wash—even though I followed instructions—so I didn’t have to iron the fitted sheet; it was stretched so tight you could hardly see the wrinkles, but it still (barely) fits. I have a pillow topper on the mattress, which adds maybe an inch or two to my standard queen (not deep). The pillow cases, on the other hand, are now a mite too small for my huge squishy pillows. Not too big a deal. The washing didn’t soften the sheets up any, either, which was a bit of a bummer—and I use fabric softener as well as dryer sheets. They are still pretty smooth, though; no sticking to me when I slide across the sheets. As far as cotton percale sleeping cooler, I don’t think I’ve really noticed any difference between these and the sateen. In the end, after sleeping on them about two weeks, I think I’ll be going back to cotton sateen. They don’t wrinkle nearly as badly, and are much softer. The crispness and smoothness of these sheets is still very nice, though, and I’ll be keeping these as a backup set.

A very nice lightweight percale.
I waited a month and 4 washings to write a review about these sheets. First off, so you know where I'm starting from, I absolutely cannot stand microfiber. It's a fake, sweaty, non breathable lie that's been sold to consumers because it's super cheap to produce and can be marketed as a 1,000 count bed sheet. So when it comes to outfitting my beds, I am always looking for high quality "old school" percale. The noisy kind, the potentially wrinkly if left in dryer kind, the cold and always crisp kind. And the kind that in hot a$$ Texas summers, you don't sweat and feel gross in kind. I like a thinner percale in summer and a thicker one in winter too. I bought these for summer hoping they'd be a little thinner than my winter sheets. They are. But they are also crisp, noisy, light, cold and wrinkly! There has been no shrinking-I have washed and dried on hot 4x now. There has been no weird elastic issues on fitted sheet, no loose strings and the white color I ordered is a pure clean white-no grey or beige undertones. For the price, it's a pretty good set of sheets. The thicker ones I get for winter are twice the price! There are a few choices at this price point. These are 400 tc, the others I saw were 300tc, or out of stock. If any weird issues come up, I'll edit post.

This sheets, do not feel like percale
Some background: Around 20 years ago, I bought a set of “1000 thread count Egyptian cotton” sheets from ebay for around $80. When I first washed them, I was appalled, the wrinkles were like nothing I’ve ever seen. Over the years I u=intermittently used them and after some time I realized that the sheets transformed to the most amazing set of sheets I’ve ever seen, Heavyweight, smooth, crisp and cool. If you hold them up, you cant even see individual threads, and smooth as glass. No idea what the brand is and the seller did not know. Since then I’ve been on the quest to find comparable sheets and I have one pillowcase from the old set to compare to!The first set I bought was Pike street, I don’t see them sold anymore, thank goodness. They were exactly like canvas.I started looking at percale weave as its supposed to be smoother. this set does not feel like percale to me, let alone 400tc. ultra thin and not crisp.

labeling
So I will start by saying that the sheets feel great and have held up amazingly ! 2 things that were easy fixes for me were. 1: One corner had a small opening where part of the stitching to place the elastic was not stitched right, but that just took a few minuets to sew. 2: the labels for side and top/ bottom were on the wrong sides. So when I make the bed I have to remember the top/bottom label really means side and so the side label means top/bottom. Other wise not bad for price and husband is a fan of the purchase he says the feel like hotel sheets!!

Cool, comfortable but small
I purchased some microfiber sheets and hated them. So I went looking for some of the old kind of sheets that stayed cool and didn't grab your pajamas when you rolled over! Doing research, I realized that I probably wanted percale weave sheets in 100% cotton. These sheets feel wonderful. They are a nice thickness, very smooth, stay cool, and don't grab. I can even live with the fact that the pillow cases wrinkle horribly given how nice they feel. I am not an obsessive ironer, and don't mind the sheets being a little wrinkled, but even I am tempted to iron the pillow cases. I have only rated these sheets as a 4 because the top sheet is small for a queen and the pockets barely work with my 14" mattress even though they rate these as 15" pockets. I have to really stretch the bottom sheet to get it onto all four corners and then I'm not strong enough to pull it all the way down on the last corner. However, for the price, I might even buy these again given how nice they feel. I also think they will last a while given their thickness. We'll see.

I like the sheets but they have some flaws
I like the sheets but they have some flaws but that didn't stop me purchasing a few more because of the price.1. the sheets feel nice - crisp but soft2. 400 thread count but they are a bit on the thin side - i can slightly see my hand thru them & I wish they had 600 thread count3. the stitching is inconsistent and in some places the threads have slipped over other threads4. this is the biggest issue i have - the pillow cases are 2 different sizes in width. the lengths are the same but the widths are 2 inches off 18" vs 20"the sheets feel nice and look crisp on the bed but it would be nice if the seller sent me a matching size pillow case.

Rather Disappointing
I sleep warm and find the cooling effect of percale sheets an absolute must have. These sheets however leave me questioning if these are percale as my Pinzon set feel much cooler.Further more, it's embarrassing to admit however after a week of sleeping on these sheets my night sweat was enough to significantly discolour the sheets (see picture).Another point of concern was when I was pulling one corner of the fitted sheet over the mattress, my ring finger went through the sheet. I can't say I was being particularly gentle with the sheet, however I have never in my life experienced a finger poking through any other sheets before.I would not recommend these sheets and I am disappointed in my purchase.

Very impressed!
I am so impressed at the service and product! The package was sent very soon after I ordered and I received them so fast, even though they had to travel far! The sheets are amazing and seem well-made - even my picky husband finds them soft enough! Here's hoping they will be durable.
