I went off the dimensions and thought it would be larger then it was when I received it. It holds about one small ball of yarn that's about it. Like one large enough to crochet a scarf or a hat.

I loved the thought and the idea. I have a pesky cat who gets into my yarn. However, the lid will not come off and I am stuck with a bowl turned paperweight.

Very cute and love the bamboo. I can not get it open and needs some sanding. I wish I would’ve checked sooner. This is suppose to be a gift.

The bowl is very attractive however, I had to sand down the edges where the yarn comes out and the inside of the bowl. It was rough enough that the yarn would catch on the wood.

Well, it's very pretty bamboo but ... there are two major problems: 1) the lid could not be removed by myself or my husband; and 2) it wasn't sanded and varnished well enough, which would cause yarn to snag, both problems defeating the whole purpose. Sadly had to return.
