It works well
Easy to set up and works well giving accurate reading of the rainfall which I was able to check against a simple funnel gauge.

It works ok. But it is smaller and doesn't show as much information as my older TFA did .
Smaller and with less information than my previous TFA rain gauge, which I bought this one to replace it for as the old one it no longer shows the rain.

Fails far too quickly - possibly not water-tight electronics
I have now had two of these units. The first failed after 20 months and the second just three days over a year. They work really well at first but both stopped transmitting a reliable wireless signal and soon fails to sync at all or, if it did sync, the signal would drop out again within a few minutes. Several sets of brand new batteries, all tested before putting them into the external transmitter unit, have not resolved the issue and having the two components adjacent to each other makes no difference either. Even though it is really good when working, I will not be replacing this system again and will rely on an old-fashioned non-electronic rain gauge.Update - 2 days after the failure the transmitter has come back without further intervention from me. Whatever caused the failure appears to have resolved spontaneously. But, the only logical explanation is that a spell of very heavy rain immediately before the failure must have resulted in water getting into the electronics and now the components have dried out without permanent damage. I am pleased that the unit appears to be working again but a rain gauge that cannot exclude water and continue to function through heavy rain is useless.

Worked well for 2 years then quit.
I had this working consistently well for 2 years and then it quit. Stopped sending the info to the display, even when it was within 1m.I had expected this to last long so am disappointed with it for that reason. I also do not like all data being lost when the batteries need to be changed.I will replace this one now but with something I hope has greater longevity.

Accurate and easy to use
Had this for about 2 months. Mounted on a wooden base about 3 feet high. Accurate, compared to a manual gauge, no variations. Knowing the amount of rainfall I find saves me water and time spent watering our garden. I have found moisture meters useless. I do write down the monthly rainfall amounts as in the event of battery failure all information is lost.

Eats batteries
This is a great little device when it works. The outside unit stops transmitting when the batteries drop below 75% full. I tested them with a battery tester. So they only last about four weeks. I refuse to waste batteries so will be looking for another unit. The outside unit is only about ten feet away and separated by a large window, no stone walls or other impediments so there is not reason the unit stops transmitting
