My dad is handicapped and also has really, really thick nails (fingers and toes) due to a persistent fungal infection. Because of this it's always been a very slow chore to cut his nails with a combination of regular toenail clippers and scissors, and to be honest, I've always dreaded doing it.I didn't know clippers like the one here existed until I saw an ad on YouTube for them. There are a myriad of different sellers/"brands" for these, so I just closed my eyes and picked this one. Having said that, these particular clippers work fantastic (VERY sharp- be careful) and have a very sturdy build/weight/feel to them, and they've made clipping my dad's insanely thick nails incredibly quick and easy. I use these weekly/biweekly, so even if they only last a year before getting dull, I'd be OK with that. I'll never try to cut my dad's nails again without clippers like these.

I am a 6'4" male weighing 220lbs and have very thick big toe nails. Trimming them has been a problem for years and have even broken a couple trimmers. To iterate that- even professional manicurists have had problems. From the photos on Amazon and the customer comments, these looked like they might work. They were stellar!! Everything about them is 5-Stars; from strength, to opening wide, to sharpness of cut. Hope they stay that way and I'll let you know if they don't. But for now - Highly Recommend!!!

It used to be that all men had a set of a small fingernail clipper and a larger toenail clipper. They had supersharp blades and worked very well. These days, however, you don't know what you may get. It may not be sharp enough. It may not cut clean. Many men use a fingernail clipper to do double duty, which it doesn't do well.Even if you find a good toenail clipper, it's not one size fits all. If you have thicker or more curved toenails, or especially if you have one toenail that's hard to clip, the standard clipper doesn't open wide enough to admit the toenail. This one, however, does. You simply swing around the spring piece, and you'll be surprised at how far the blades open. At least I was. And then, like me, you may be surprised how sharp the blade is, how clean it cuts, and how simple it makes this otherwise nearly impossible task.Not only that, it's black metal, comes in a little black bag in a 4" X 2.5" box which can be easily be gift wrapped and makes a great gift for any man.

Trimming fingernails is easy and the high quality results are evident, however if these trimmers are used for toenail clipping they can easily grab part of the skin with the toenail. Be careful ! These are not your typical thrift store nail clippers. Overall a very fine product.

I bought this set of clippers because I have some super thick nails due to injuries to my nail beds. I can't clip them with regular clippers anymore, and I'm not keen on having a podiatrist do it--mine is a jerk and doesn't do a good job anyway.These clippers do the job, and they do it well. They're incredibly sharp, large enough to accommodate my thick nails, and the nail filer is great too. They allow me to have some control over my nails, and I can actually make them look ... well, not "normal," but close enough that you would have to do a double take to notice something really off about them. It's been nice. Highly recommended for the thick-nailed. :)

The extreme sharpness facilitates the clipper staying in place when tightened against nail. High quality throughout and well wort the slightly increased price. Best ever clipper .

This is the best toe nail clipper I ever used. It is sharp and easy to use. Be careful or you can clip your skin. It has no problem cutting toe nails. I also used on my finger nails. It is easy to cut with the design of the clipper. This makes regular clippers obsolete. The little simple things that make life much better.

My mom has gotten older and her nails have become harder to cut. They have gotten really thick. She absolutely loves these nail clippers and they are easy to use! They are also good for cutting acrylic nails.
