Initially, I thought paper is paper but not really. I originally bought the Amazon basic paper pads and they are thinner sheets of paper and held together with glue instead of a binding with perforation like Universal writing pads. I really disliked the way Amazon basic paper pad used the glue because they came unhinged when I was flipping the paper to take notes on the back. So, I have a stack of paper from Amazon that I don't like and will give to my kids to draw on. I will definitely buy more of Universal writing pads because the paper is thicker and it really makes writing on it smoother. This is especially true if you have a nice pen to write with, the notes look really good. So, I like this brand, but I wish it was a little cheaper but, it said that it was made in America? If so, I would like to support people who have jobs here. But price is slightly an issue, however the product is sooo nice.

This paper is unlike other writing pads - this paper is much thicker and feels more luxurious!! Writing is very smooth especially with felt tip and rollerball pens. Highly recommend and definitely worth the price! Makes writing notes in my board meetings a breeze!

Not too thick or thin paper. Tears off tablet easily

I bought twelve pads of white ruled paper here on Amazon, brand can't be named, for my work notes for the cheap price. What a waste. It was the kind of paper you might find at conference seat-places: cheap, giveaway stuff.These are fantastic. Yes, more expensive. But the paper is substantial, bright, and smooth. The perforations at the top allow for clean, no-force tears. Solid backing. Lines aren't garishly bright blue -- more like a mid-grey. Love, and will reorder.

By far best writing pad at any price; doesn't blled through and pages pull off cleanly.
