GREAT Tea Pitcher!
If you are old enough, you remember the old 'Lipton Sun Tea' jars...unfortunately, unless you go 'antique hunting', you just can't find anything like they used to have or make...so I got to looking for 'tea pitcher'...and I guess I'm old enough that 'tea pitcher' doesn't mean to those younger, with what I mentally picture when I think 'tea pitcher'...but after looking long enough, I found this...and LOVE IT! It is borosilicate glass...VERY THIN, but the same glass labs use for beakers and test tubes...normal stove-heat can't hurt it...and it is clear and not frosted glass or sculpted, so it also works FABULOUS as a 'Sun Tea' pitcher too! With a 1-gallon sized tea bag, I can put the bag in a pitcher of water and have Sun Tea in an hour-or-so (Desert Southwest U.S.)...and in maybe 10-12 minutes on a stove eye at medium heat...the size says '85 ounces'...not sure on that, I fill it to right below the upper attachment point of the handle, and once I add sugar (sweetened Ice Tea), I get just a bit over 1/2-gallon of tea...and this fits PERFECT in my refrigerator door shelves too! Just let the tea cool down, and place it in there to get chilly! The pitcher cap is stainless, with a silica seal ring and two pour sides (one is a strainer, one is an 'open hole')...and you can brew on your stove with the lid on (though I don't, in case of me not paying attention and getting 'boil-over')...LOVE the pitcher...very clean and attractive, and makes GREAT TEA, no matter how you brew it! Highly recommend!

Exactly as Advertised
Yes it is a Glass Pitcher that can be placed directly on the stove. I use it to make tea. Use some common sense. It is not indestructible. Let the pitcher cool down on the counter and let the tea steep until you are ready to put it in the fridge. I think it is made out of the same material as a beaker/test tube. I have made several pitchers of tea and it is exactly what I was looking for. It holds about 11 cups of water and I use to slow brew tea. No, the handle has not fallen off nor has the glass cracked once I put a warm pitcher into the fridge after four or five uses.

Simple, perfect for summer drinks
The rubber seal on cover doesn't not provide a good seal. Will leak when pouring when bottle is full. Have towels ready.

Beautiful AND Useful!
I purchased this 85 oz pitcher specifically to use for cold brewing coffee that I could just leave in the refrigerator, but it is so beautiful that I will use it also for serving beverages when I am entertaining as well. With just plain water in it, it sparkles when light hits the glass. It is well balanced, and the handle, though quite slim, feels good in the hand. I will likely purchase this again as a gift.

Great item. No brush.
I like it. It holds my ice teas and hot teas perfectly. Looks a little fragile, but I got used to it fast. Arrived without the brush tho. Which isn’t a big deal as the opening is wide enough for my hand to get in and wash it.

Large, pretty pitcher for spring & summer refreshments
Can confirm this holds 2.5 L - used my 1 L water bottle to check, since lots of reviews cast doubt. This pitcher gives me a beautiful on-the-counter piece for serving large batches of homemade peach tea, lemonade, supplemented water (BCAAs, electrolytes), and sangria. Handle with care! But if you can comfortably manage a gallon jug of milk/juice, then you will comfortably manage this pitcher at capacity.

Pretty obvious design flaw
Update: the pitcher broke after about 2.5 months of use. The base is too thin and when placed on a countertop the glass broke leaving a terrible mess of cold coffee. The pitcher is lightweight but that's about the end of its positive qualities. Maybe the other is it's sort of easy to wash by hand. The pitcher feels like it's going to break soon because the arm is quite narrow and doesn't feel strong enough for the amount of liquid. The big issue is the plastic seal doesn't seat low enough. You get a double stream each time you pour and can easily make spills.

Thin glass, feels cheap
Feels very cheap, I'm afraid if I put our down too hard I'll break I.
