Rugged and very functional
I live in Alaska and every year I have to replace my cleats, but no more! These cleats are incredible, very durable. I bought two pairs for my wife and I and they are rugged and work very well. The links are solid, usually the links are the weak part. I walk on a mix of solid ice, snow and concrete and the spike have not bent or deformed, I was worried they would. I don't know when I'll need another pair but when I do I am buying another pair of these. The seller also contacted me via email shortly after the purchase however I couldn't comment because we did not have any ice where I live but now we've had plenty of snow and ice.Update: I have had these cleats for almost a year and a half. Unfortunately one of the links broke on the heel for whatever reason, maybe I stepped on the right rock. A simple email to Yatta Life and Terry is shipping me a replacement pair. Very quick communication and very helpful!! Happy New Year Yatta Life!

Great product
I know these are a little more expensive than the Yak Tracks but I hike twice a day with my dogs in some pretty rough terrain lots of loose dirt and leaves then cover it with ice or snow and go up steep hills no hiking boot works. I always see the yak tracks hanging at the trail head cause they fall off. I put these on an old pair of hiking boots and they are great! I keep them in a bag in my truck just in case I need them.

Inally found some great spikes !
Ok tried these out yesterday in deep spring snow and I love them!! I’ve gone through 2 other pair that break, don’t grip, don’t stay on and now I finally found these Great!! Easy to put on, super traction, Velcro straps and a nice bag. Had to tromp thru some areas of rock and no snow cover and it didn’t bother these at all. Yay!!!

So far, so good
I have worn them on two hikes that required them because of the sheer ice on rocks, and they worked. I chose to purchase them because they are less expensive than the Kahtoola brand, and I think it's important to have a little competition between what seem to be the only two companies manufacturing high quality micro spikes. They also come with a convenient pouch so the spikes don't melt all over my other gear or punch a hole in my pack.

Leg saver
These spikes are great. I bought them after a rough day hiking in deep snow by myself. After slipping an falling all day I thought there had to be something to help. I found many different brands of spikes. The Yatta Life spikes I felt were a good balance of price and quality. I have put over 40 miles on my spikes in very rugged terrain and they are holding up great. My only complaint would be that in wet snow they tend to build up snow on the bottom. You gradually get taller and taller and it can make it difficult to walk. This has only happened in very few cicumstances. Thanks for a great affordable product.

Not a good investment
I have had these less than 2 months using for about a month for daily walks on ice and snow. I have had 4 breaks already and have had to repair with copper wire. If you are looking for something durable, keep looking. The materials are not nearly heavy enough. I have used other brands before and ones that cost 1/2 as much lasted longer. If you are going to use them once or twice a year, maybe these will work. If you use them frequently like I do, don't waste your money here!

High quality product
I am using these Trail Spikes for traction on Colorado's High summits. I have been Highly satisfied with the quality and durability of this product on slick snow and ice covered inclines.

NO SLIP - Yatta Life Crampons GRIP IT!
When our Yatta Life Crampons arrived we immediately knew the correct choice had been made. The product is both well designed and manufactured. As photographers we spend a great deal of time outdoors, working in various environmental conditions. Keeping safe is at the top of our list. Anyone from Alberta knows how fast our weather can change. Our previous spikes cost almost as much, but never seemed to work properly. The grip was never consistent nor could we get them tight enough to our hiking boots.First thing we noticed was how easy they were to get on our boots. The one-piece rubber design grips the boots tight. No mess around with adjusting buckles, laces or straps.Yesterday we hit a trail hike in Crowsnest Pass to test our new gear. A short 2.1km trek around Star Creek Falls. The real test was going to be the elevation changes. The Yatta Life Crampons did amazing. Zero slipping or falling. Consistent traction throughout the hike, including pretty steep inclines. I can’t wait to get out again next week!!One last comment, the crampons come with a storage pouch (previous sets we purchased did not). It may not be a big deal to most people. Personally, I think going that extra step shows amazing attention to detail and customer satisfaction. Two big thumbs up to the Yatta Life Team.

Well made ice spikes with excellent traction - highly recommend.
I have 120+ km of hiking over white ice (snow that has melted and refrozen) and blue ice (water ice).Every step has been taken in total confidence - even on very steep ascents and descents. They're showing zero wear even though I crossed several sections of pavement. In my opinion the sizing runs a touch small. I am using an extra large over a 10 and 1/2 US hiking boot. My wife is using a large over a women's 9 and 1/2 hiking boot.I have used ice spikes from other manufacturers and they all failed early. These ones are robust and offer excellent traction. If I had a suggestion for the manufacturer it would be to add a size XXL for boots size 12 and above.

STAINLESS STEEL??
It says clearly on the advertising and on the box that the chain and spikes are stainless steel ..well, the chain is but the spikes are not! I used a fridge magnet to check it out because a magnet won't stick to good Stainless Steel. The magnet did not stick to the chain but it stuck right to the spikes! ..the first clue I had that something wasn't stainless was when I read an enclosed tag that said to use WD40 on'em befor storing after the season!!? ..WTF??? ...that's when I went right for the magnet! It's a bit of a con to me but over all they do seem to be not too bad a quality. I gave them a 3 star because of the spikes not being SS and also because I consider it to be false advertising. One more point that might help others considering to buy a pair is to go for the Extra large because luckily I ordered the XLRGE for a 10 1/2 boot and they were "tight" so go for the XLRGE if you have a BIG or medium foot! Will have to see how things go after the winter! ..now I have to pick up a can of WD40!

Changed my winter dog walking experience
So maybe global warming is not happening but the weather where I live is completely ridiculous. We go from rain one day to 15 below the next. That leads to some brutal dog walking experiences. How many times I have almost broken my neck in the woods from sliding on the ice? I was at my wit's end until a friend told me about these more significant cleats. I have been buying those cheap Costco ones forever. If they are not popping off my boots, they are ripping or simply not even gripping. I put these on my large boots and holy moly, a surreal experience. I actually climbed a 45-degree ice ladden hill and did not even slide a millimeter. I am literally not exaggerating. The grip with these is indescribable. They have changed my dog walking experience beyond belief. The stainless steel also does not rust, so I can simply hang them to dry. If you are an outdoors person and have experienced the slip, you cannot live without these. You can keep them in their pouch and put in your pocket.

Sizing
The Large size is not necessarily the correct size to use for a men's size 10 boot.I have a pair of size 10 Sorel Men’s Intrepid Explorer™ XT boots and the large size is next to impossible to fit over this particular boot.I will purchase the x-large and update this review after I receive the larger size.
