This DVD collects the first season of adventures with Marinette, aka Ladybug (yeah, I know, probably a Merkan thing but it's tolerable!) and her crush cum sidekick Adrian, aka Cat Noir. Set in Paris, we see the pair setting out on their adventures to defeat the various villains sent to terrorise the city and, more importantly, to seize the "Miraculous", the items that give Ladybug and Cat Noir their power. So who is sending these villains? We know him here as Hawk Moth but if you pay attention, you may just guess the real identity of this person who is misusing his miraculous in a bid to gain ultimate power. Yeah, typical arch-nemesis stuff!While the story sometimes becomes a little predictable, especially when dealing with Chloe, the spoilt brat daughter of the Parisian mayor, it's a fresh look on the idea of the superhero genre which is perhaps getting a little stale these days when coming from a certain other country. Don't, however, think that this is the whole story! The villains aren't simply misguided folk, for example. The origin story is a little unoriginal and comes at the end of this first series (I wonder, in fact, if the series is in the correct order here for a few reasons) but I like it on the whole. The designs are good and the stories do have a habit of including the odd twist to avoid the whole black and white, good and evil thing that some shows of this type can fall into.The show was originally French so you may need to be familiar with some of the references and if you have ever been to Paris, you may recognise some of the locations.

Well priced full first season of my son's favourite programme "miraculous ladybug and cat noire".Bought as a special treat, I'd recently given him my large portable dvd player for his newly decorated big boy room, so these were an ideal gift.He's over the moon with them and watches a couple of episodes each evening in bed.Received intact and the case contains 4 discs in English.

This was my daughters first online purchase. It came a little earlier than expected, so it was a great surprise when she got home from school.

I love the show. Watched it online ages ago, and just realised the DVD was out. But it doesnt seem to have the french audio that I was looking for. Or any other special features at all. I'm not bothered about the features, I never use them, but. I much prefer the french audio.Still fun though. Just not what I wanted, and the amazon.com reviews DO say it can do that. Maybe I'm just doing it wrong...?

got it as a present for my two daughters.all looks good.they will be so excited as this is their favorite programme.

Love this show it's great for you if you love superheroes, animation, kids programmes. This show has many mysteries to uncover which it slowly reveals over time.

My son loves this show. He only got into it a few weeks ago, but it instantly grew on him. He says he can't wait to see season 2 aswell.
