これより大きいのが必要な人は何に使っているのか不思議なくらいだいたい割れます。刃先に革のカバーがついているので、オイルを使ってケアしてあげてください。刃に錆はなく綺麗な状態でしたので、防錆剤を塗布してからガンガン使っていますが、特にすぐ刃こぼれするなどもなく、快適に利用できています。箱出し状態でも刃はちゃんとついており、鋭くはありませんが薪を割ったりするのには十分な刃です。束には木工用のオイルを塗ってあげると良い色になりますので是非。

ハルタホースと迷ってたが、ハスクがセールで安くなり購入、ラッキー

数年前に購入を考えたときに一旦お気に入りに登録。その時の価格が4,000円弱くらいで買いそびれました。とはいえ数百円程度高いだけでしたが、また同じ価格になるまでと考えいているうちに高騰。一時期7～8,000円程になっていました。もう4,000円は無理だとしても以前よりは価格が落ち着いたので約5,500円で購入。旬は逃してはなりませんね。ものはもっと安くて同程度のものはあると思いますが、やはりハスクバーナということで所有満足感にお金を出しています。

小さいながらそこそこ重みもありキャンプの薪割りには持ってこい！買って正解！

広葉樹はやっぱり厳しいかと…かなり力強く振り下ろす必要があります。柄が短いので大変です。正直クサビを使った方が安全ですが、雰囲気とロマンを求めるなら斧ですかね。

I wanted a cheap, beater axe (junk axe) because I need to remove a tree stump from the ground. It is already dead so the wood is hard and may ruin the edge of a fragile Gransfors Bruk axe. Also I need to hack some of the dead roots close to the ground so the axe may hit some rocks in the soil. So I bought this Husqvarna axe because it cost 1/4th the price of my Gransfors Bruk.I was quite shocked at the quality of the Husqvarna! The dark hickory handle is rough hewn and has ridges on it, and you can get splinters from it. The Gransfors Bruk has select white hickory and nice matching grain on both sides of the handle. On the Husqvarna, they only polish a thin 3-4 mm edge on the blade to save on labor. The Gransfors Bruk has a beautiful and wide 3-4 cm mirror polished finish on the blade.At least the Husqvarna has a much larger and heavier axe head than most of the Gransfor Bruk axes. But the Husqvarna is so cheap, it will be OK for my purposes, if the blade gets nicked or dented.
