Must have for leather care
Overall this boxed set was a good value. Now that After using it to treat boots, handbags and a leather jacket I know which products I will continue to order a la carte.Leather oil: used this to revive an older pair of leather boots that hadn't properly been cared for over the past couple of years. Worked well and will probably treat them again with the oil before storing them for spring. I let the oil soak in for a 1/2 day before applying the boot wax. Only need to use a little bit, so the bottle should last a while.Conditioner: This has a nice subtle citrus scent that faded within a day (I prefer unscented products though). Apply sparingly, otherwise you may get a dull residue that takes some work to buff out. Used this on new pair of Frye boots (gray) and a light brown leather jacket. The boots darkenes slightly, but then lightened up some 1-2 days later (followed with boot wax). The conditioner provided water resistance, but won't be enough protection if you are wearing them in a wet or snowy climate. This didn't change the color of the jacket, although I definitely should have applied it with a lighter touch. Will use on boots and jacket at least 1-2 times yearly to keep the leather soft and conditioned.Boot wax: This has a subtle piney/juniper scent that I did not like. Luckily it disappeared after 24 hours. Applied liberally to 2 pair of boots to protect against winter precipitation. Also applied very lightly to a natural leather (not dyed or coated) handbag. Great results on all pieces. Should be allowed to set for 12-24 hours, then buff lightly with soft cloth. I will probably use this sparingly on my leather jacket instead of the conditioner next time it needs a treatment. Love this product, but not crazy about the scent. Will definitely keep a tin of this on hand though.Saddle soap: doesn't seem to have an added scent. Worked well to remove water/salt stains from boots before treating with conditioner/wax. Works best if used with a small horse hair brush. Dip brush in water then shake off excess water. Work up lather (creamy rather than bubbly) and work over boots. Wipe off with soft dry cloth snd let dry before treating with other products. This tin will last a long time.Packaging: Everything is nicely packaged in a cardboard box with hinged lid which can be used to store the products. My only complaint is here are no instructions for use on the containers on printed in the box. Looked online to get a general idea of how to use the products. What you'll need: small round horsehair brush to use with the saddle soap, soft cloths for applying conditioner, wax or oil, and clean soft cloths for buffing conditioner or wax.Overall I am very satisfied with the boot care box products and will definitley purchase the wax and conditioner regularly to keep my boots, jacket and leather bag in great condition. The extra care will make them all last a lot longer, and it is great that the only animal by-product is beeswax.

Perfect for our Article Sven Sofa
Got this to use on our Article leather sofa. After having the sofa for a month, we noticed a little dryness to the leather. What a difference! Article actually recommended this brand in the blog section of their website.I only used the salve and the oil in the kit on the sofa. We have the chocolate brown leather and it deepened the color, but it's still absolutely beautiful. It's been almost 4 months and i will be reapplying those two products again soon. It also helped soften the leather which we absolutely love.I used the boot wax on my Ariat hiking boots and Vasque winter hikers. The Ariats got WAY darker. I'm okay with that but other people may not be.This kit has very small sized tins of products in it but I'll be able to do my large sofa twice (it'll be close with the salve) and many, many more boots! It's a good kit if you want to try out Otter products.I put a quarter in the picture so you can tell the size of the tins. I've kept the cloths i used in little labeled bags for next time. It came with the one white cloth i haven't used yet (it was hiding under a cardboard piece in the box). I personally like separate cloths and have no intention of washing them with my regular laundry loads as people mentioned that left spots on their clothes (hello?!!)I'd recommend these products especially if you have an Article Sven Sofa.

Brings Leather Boots Back to Life
See before and after pix - they say it all. Restored a pair of Lems I had used for yard work for past two seasons. They look better now than when they were new.I went through hall of the steps, over the course of 3 days:1. Saddle Soap (Day 1)2. Leather Salve (Day 2)3. Leather Oil (Day 2)4. Boot Wax (Day 3)The package contains enough to do these boots at least 5 more times. Planning to keep them cleaned, oiled and waxed all season long now that I put the work in.Only disappointing thing, which is a personal preference, is that I've used other Saddle Soap in the past that smelled better. Saddle soap scent is one of those things I recall from my days of taking care of baseball gloves as a kid. I was hoping for a better scent… but the scent has no impact on performance.

My Docs Look Brand New
I love these products. My boots that I have never cleaned, and have used avidly for 5 years, look so good. I will say I wish there were a little bit clearer instructions. What I learned from this is it's hard to screw it up, just wait until it has dried and keep going. I would suggest investing in another rag or just making sure you have another rag (old t-shirts work great) and a horsehair brush to help buff it out. The one rag in this kit is not enough, but the amount of product in here for the value...... I'm not mad that I had to buy a few extra things.
