Great addition to my collection. Just wish postal was a bit kinder to it.
As far as Spice and Wolf goes, this is the pinnacle of Isuna Hasekura's creation. The font is small, yes, but more importantly it is readable and helps to keep what is already an enormous book from being even bigger. Everything is there in the book, including stunning full color photos, as well as black and white illustrations throughout the book. All 17 issues are in this tome, however I ordered the 18th separately just to have an entirely complete collection. The book, with all of its incredible writing and illustrations, as well as the decorative leather cover, I'd easily rate 5/5. The only reason I would take away a star is because of the handling, although that is no fault of the product itself. The bottom of the spine has a very noticeable bend in it that actually slightly tore the leather, and the back has odd markings on them, almost like oil. It's also worth noting that I purchased a 2nd Edition print, which means no production number. All in all, I'm happy to have this in my collection, though, and I'd highly recommend spending the money for this masterpiece.

An Extravagant Book
Oh man how I've longed to read the entirety of Spice and Wolf. To sum this review up if you're a massive Spice and Wolf fan then get this it tells the aftermath of the second season of the anime and continues the amazing journey of Holo and Laurence and continues for volumes. Now story wise Spice and Wolf is a masterpiece there's nothing really wrong with it, it fully fleshes out the main characters and any side characters that may appear and the journey itself is amazing there really are no plot holes nor things left unexplained everything progresses at a good pace not too slow nor fast and pieces of art that is shown throughout is done magnificently.Lastly I have really nothing else to say besides that this review is somewhat lacking in terms of quality and should contain more info about the book and go more in depth I suggest you find someone who did a review for this book and look at their thoughts as mines are rather biased and is to be excepted for a fan of the series to say its a 10/10.

A wonderful item, befitting of the series history and the hard work of the people who helped to create it.
I was amazed to find when I opened the box that this book was the size of a large college textbook, which surprised me as no pictures Ive seen give an accurate size comparison. The entire book is filled with original artwork from the novels, which leads to some outright astounding full color 2 page spreads. Having this piece clearly show Ayakura Jyuu's growth as an artist following the stories evolution.Reading it may be difficult for some partly due to the size and weight of the book, or given the fact that to contain what it does, it has very small font and is read 2 coulums of texts per page. Chapter titles and the first letter of the text are illustrated akin to mid-evil texts with both being done in the style of ornate calligraphy. The cover is sturdy and tries to simulate leather with the title and author script seemingly burned into it.All this considered, my copy arrived completely undamaged except for one corner where some slight crushing happened. Overall my experience was great, receiving this artwork of a book timely and mostly safe.

I am happy to say that a lot of the reviews are ...
One of the things that i was worried about when i bought this was the condition of the book. I am happy to say that a lot of the reviews are probably the worst end of the spectrum because my book came with so little damage that i had to look really closely to find about 9 pages with a slight bend in the top of the page, easily smooth out with my bare hands, now it's not noticeable at all.If you love spice and wolf and are sad the anime ended, or, like me, you realize that it is cheaper to get the giant book than pay 10$ a head for the e-books (which i'm not a fan of anyways) then you definitely need to get this. The text is rather small, as i'll show with pictures of mine, but the artwork is great, both black and white and in color, just beautiful. I can't wait to burn hours and hours reading it.

Spice & Wolf receives the true global classic literature overhaul treatment and the auther of this classic tale has earned it
I dont say this often about manga or light novels and im from japan but i moved to america for schooling so take these next words i say with extreme sincerity the tale of Spice & Wolf should be named and treated as a global classic literature tale. This is light novel literature at its absolute apex it is not every day you see a light novel get the same overhauled anniversary treatment. That a timeless book like mobydick would get that is how above the graded curb this light novel story is how above the light novel standerd this story is. It would be a crime to pass this story up please i implore you even if you dont like japanese anime/manga pop culture read the story. This is a very rare honor for a japanese light novel to receive even in japan this just does not happen very often the auther must be very proud of this congratulations Hasekura-san.

I have good things to say and bad things to say
It’s absolutely amazing that the seller was able to get it to me before the estimated delivery date of September 1st currently is August 28th. So I definitely have to give them a bunch of praise for their speed. However I do I have to take away some points for the condition of the product I think I can keep it alive with some tender loving care and probably fix it up a little bit better than the solution that they’ve got going on right now but nowhere on the item description of the listing did it say that the book had pretty severe damage to the bottom half of the bookbinding I mean come on this thing was nearly $700 it would’ve been nice to know that it had a problem but it’s still one of the ones in better condition that I’ve seen so I’m not too upset

its actually quite sturdy. and excellent quality
bought this expecting it to be rather weak quality. cause 17 novels in one?at the very least it must be unwieldy right?no to both. its actually quite sturdy. and excellent quality.using large pages(text book size?). small, but readable font. and 2 columns per page. it fits everything in quite agreeably. with the pictures in great quality.love the story, and looking forward to Spice and Parchment picking up the torch to continue.my only lament, volume 18, aka the one no one expected(Cause 17 ended the story) didn't make it in.
