Doodles at Dinner: 36 Tear-Off Placemats (Doodle Placemats) Diary – Picture Book, April 15, 2008

These cute placemats are so much fun to draw on while the children (and adults) are waiting for Mom to get dinner on the table. They can easily take up 15-20 minutes, especially if you let your little ones color them too. Some of the pictures are a little hard for a child under 6, but they can enjoy trying with an adult's help. I bought them to keep my grandchildren entertained when they come to our house.

I'm a dummy and didn't look at what age group this is for. I was thinking it was for possibly a small toddler who just wanted some cool things to look at and scribble a bit. However, these are semi-intricate steps for creating cartoons. It's a cool book. My nephew will just have to wait awhile to use it.

My kids, six and eight, like this doodle activity pad. Both can do the doodles. Since the pages tear out, each kid can pick their own and do it without arguing. Keeps them busy while we wait for food at a restaurant.

My daughter, who has a interest in drawing, absolutely loves Doodles for Dinner. She instantly found a pencil and began following the easy instructions. She is 7 and needs to practice a bit for perfection, but the final product of her drawings were quite good. She was amazed how easy it is to draw these pictures. Awesome product!!

We LOVE these books. We have purchased each one in the series that we have found and they keep our son constructively, creatively busy. He is always proud of his accomplishments. Definitely recommend all these books!

Great to keep a kid entertained at dinner! Put a few in your purse with some crayons or colored pencils and whip them out when your child gets fussy or whiny!

Lots of fun at a good price. I think that, with a box of crayons, any child would be happy and entertained for a long time.

I love this. My kids love drawing and so this is was a great gift that was bought for us (which I then bought for other people). We use it at home but it would be a great product to take when eating out to keep the kids amused. We swap ours around so there is more than one drawing on each sheet and we always sign our artwork!

Good all round fun for all ages to have a go at. A real ice breaker and talking point at the dining table, which has some hilarious results. Great entertainment even if you are not remotely artistic - easy to follow instructions of how to draw are included and would appeal to young and old alike. if you are not bothered about the outcome, also brilliant for toddlers to scribble on instead of your table!

The doodle placemats are great fun to keep any child entertained over dinner. They have themes on each page to give your child a challenge of what they can draw based on the theme, rather than just free drawing on plain paper. This is a great product.

Good for dinner parties, christmas and birthdays. Keeps everyone quiet whilst you prepare the next course. Get some coloured pencils for the full effect.
