Smoke Stack Cover for Pellet Grills, Chimney Cover for Traeger, Pit Boss. to Seal The Opening When not in use

This cover eliminates one of the entry point for critters when you are not using your grill. Having found evidence of critters in my grill in the past, I'm very happy to be able to close off the smoke stack.The cover slips under the conical chimney cap easily and stays in place due to the lip around the cover. When you are not using it, there a magnets that hold the cover onto the outside of the grill. I found these magnets to be a little weak, although they do support the cover.You have to remember to remove the cover from the smoke stack when you use the grill, otherwise you will not get the proper ventilation.

After one time I found mice trying to build a nest in the firebox, I've been doing what I can to plug up the grease trap and the smoke stack. I originally started using a cloth. I found a great option for the grease trap with a magnetic cover, and now that I have this, nothing can get inside the Traeger when not in use. Just remember to remove before cooking anything. 10/10 recommend if you need to block the smoke stack on a Traeger.

This chimney cover fits perfectly over the smokestack of my Traeger 575 Pro. The real value for it is to help keep critters out while the grill is not in use, so you have to remember to remove it when you fire up your smoker or you will have more smoke than you intend. It’s a simple thing that not all will need, but as I recently found spider eggs in my chimney, I figured this could help.

This is a must if you plan on cold smoking food in a pellet type grill. This blocks the vent about 90% to allow the smoke to really set in and not just wisp on past on its way out.i make a lot of cold smoked cheese and found blocking the vent really helps this process go faster and get better results.Measure the vent across to make sure this cap fits as not all vent tubes are the same size. Easy on and off for normal use
