Looks good, feels good in the hands, but returned under warranty. Not good , avoid.
The camera looks good and feels good in the hands. It takes reasonable photos although not as good as my Olympus but to be fair this camera was half the cost of the Olympus. The "intelligent camera" mode is excellent for beginners. Only one major gripe, it eats battery power, I can only get 60 to 80 shots out of the battery and the battery power indication is not accurate, it goes fairly slowly from full to two thirds charged but from then on very quickly to fully discharged. Replacement Practika batteries are expensive, don't buy standard NP-120 replacement batteries as they do not fit. Unfortunately after two months use I have returned the camera under warranty for repair or replacement. It will not turn on saying "please remove the lens cap", even though the lens cap is off. After a week of silence I contacted Praktica for an update. They told me they had extensively tested my camera and battery but no fault could be found and they were returning the camera to me. Obviously I was not very happy about this. However upon receiving the camera I put it to use immediately, I have used it now for a week and have taken approximately 250 shots with it and it works perfectly, and the battery is holding up well very odd ! If it plays up again during the warranty period I will report back here. 24th Jun 19. I hate to say this but the camera is now playing up again, battery wont hold charge, loses time and date settings after a few days, avoid.

It didn’t hold its charge
This camera is great for a beginner. I bought it for my 11 year old daughter. She enjoys taking pictures with it. The only problem I found is that it doesn’t hold it a charge. I thought that once I’d charged it and didn’t use it it would be ok to use a few days later but I was wrong.
