Great video streaming in car. No audio sync issues. Little latency. Recommended!
Used in 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser. Followed instructions for setup. Only step not covered in manual provided was to go into car’s settings and connect to device there. Setting up as a secondary device, with my iPhone as the primary worked like a charm. Took up to 10 seconds to connect but then, did not lose connection and interface was responsive. The interface design was pretty intuitive although I did have some trouble initially finding my way back to the Home Screen from the AI Box’s “Settings” menu. Checked out some YouTube video and quality was excellent I have had audio sync issues on my phone in the car with YouTube but audio was in sync. Initial connection time on YouTube was a little slow but I live in an area with poor cell reception and since you use your phone as a hotspot, I suspect it was more the overall connection rather than the device itself. One small thing is that when I disconnected and went back to car’s CarPlay, I kept getting pop up messages that a USB device was connected and asked if I wanted to connect. However, disconnecting the usb cable from the car’s port took care of that. So far, it seems well worth the money. We are taking a long car trip soon (in part, the impetus for this purchase) so will put it through its paces then but considering my local dodgy cell coverage and the excellent performance so far, I don’t anticipate any issues. So far, I would highly recommend this.

The Best CarPlay I've Tried
I have been wanting a CarPlay for my vehicle that was truly compatible with Android and didn't require extra steps or stuff to use it. I finally found one in this CarPlay device. This can be used for Android or Apple. It's such an easy setup. Literally plug it in, pair it, and I was done. Everything I get in my vehicle, it automatically connects. There is no lagging, disconnecting, or delays. It also does not affect my regular Android Auto functions, like my navigation system.Besides working well with Android Auto, one of the primary reasons I chose this one was the video streaming capabilities. We are able to stream everything from Netflix to YouTube to Disney+ to Hulu and more. Obviously, I'm not watching stuff while driving, but it makes traveling with kids nicer and I can hear and participate in whatever they are watching/listening to. I like that it has a TF card slot (not included) for even more options. One thing I was concerned about was the device getting hot during prolonged use. That has not been the case. It stays cool to the touch.I know this one is a little more expensive than some others, but it's totally worth it. A couple of others I tried didn't work with my vehicle or didn't have all the features we were looking for. They did end up in good homes.

Terrible. Laggy. Freezes. Overheats.
Love the concept, but the execution here is horrible. Used on my 2020 Land Rover and was excited to have video capability. First, it took me some time to figure out this REQUIRES the use of their own USB cables. Do NOT use your own. Once you get into it, the circle that appears allows navigation if you don't have any hard button in your car. My car is touch screen only, so have to rely on the circle and its menu for going back or home. However, the video lags way behind the audio (like a minute or so) and when this happens, you can't even access the circle menu to escape YouTube or whatever you are watching until the video gets to the end. So, power cycle and maybe you can escape, but it seems to maintain the state even on a power cycle. The unit gets hot and that's when things really go down hill for it. I had it sitting in open air and it is still so hot that it is uncomfortable to touch. I also briefly tried in my 2022 Mercedes with a much bigger display and it really struggled to even play video on such a large screen. In summary, most people are getting with for video playback and this does a very poor job of it.

Excellent quality, top notch customer service, great value! Check this device out!
I recently purchased this product to enhance my vehicle's stock entertainment system. This product will convert your wired only system to a wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay adapter that also has the ability to stream video apps like Netflix and YouTube, and so far I really recommend it!* Wireless Convenience: Ditching the cable is a game-changer. Setting up the initial connection was so easy. All I did was use the supplied USB cable to plug it into my vehicles dedicated infotainment port, and once paired, my phone connected automatically every time I started the car. This made short trips much more convenient.* Video Streaming Potential: The ability to access streaming services like Netflix and YouTube on my car's screen is awesome, making long trips or long waits in the car a great experience.* Android Auto/Apple CarPlay Functionality: Basic Android Auto/Apple CarPlay features like navigation, music, and calls worked as expected, I have not experienced any delays. The sound quality is also really good.* Reliability Issues: The connection so far is always stable. I have no experienced any disconnects or lags, which could be frustrating, especially during navigation.* Video Streaming Performance: The video streaming was one of the key selling points, and the performance has been strong and consistent. I have had no buffering or low resolution experiences. I could imagine that particularly in areas with weaker cellular signals, there obviously could be issues. But, this would not be the devices fault of course.* User Interface and Software: The device's interface feels snappy and intuitive. Navigating menus and settings has always been smooth.* Heat Generation: The device stays cool to the touch during extended use, which should alleviate any concerns about long-term durability.Overall:This type of device offers a glimpse into the future of in-car entertainment, and I recommend to explore with this company. The wireless convenience is undeniable, and the video streaming capability is a neat addition. The reliability and performance has been top notch, and the build quality is amazing. I researched these types of devices for a while and am happy I went with this brand. The value for what you receive is amazing! If you prioritize wireless connectivity and the ability for streaming seevices, I think it is definitely worth considering.
