Nice Laptop - for a year
I have been using the Chuwi Lapbook air every day for around 1 year now.The build quality is still very good, surprisingly no scratches on the metal body, my Macbook pro has more, although it is in a drawer, connected to an external screen.Some say, the Chuwi Lapbook Air is slow. First of all, do not expect any miracles for this price.I have installed an M.2 SSD (they are not expensive, as some say), I can watch 4K youtube videos, and any offline 4k video.Battery life is still good, over 5 hours.I wonder, if it could cope with 16GB of RAM.A little update:One of the hinges broke. it was hard to close and open the laptop. I asked Amazon about the warranty, they said, 2 years, but they can't do anything (as usual), I have to contact the manufacturer, so I did, sent them some photos. In the reply, they asked me, if I could take the bottom off, and check, the shaft is broken! Am I a qualified Chuwi service technician (if anything like this exists at all)? Now the screen is damaged too, around the hinge.It seems, I always end up with the same situation with products from Amazon: At the beginning, when I spend money, everybody is polite, and helpful, promising everything, but when it would be their time, to do something, servicing, replacing, warranty, after the returning period is over (which should cover the whole warranty) etc... they don't give a "poop". Such a shame.
