Very good spec, affordable scope, for hobby use.
Runs nicely on a Linux desktop, with Win7 on a virtual Gnome box.

Software simply doesn't exist
This is basically useless - the open source software doesn't work and the provided software doesn't support Windows 10 or 11. Vendor doesn't seem to care. A total waste of quite a lot of money.

It’s very basic for the price being charged
I bought this oscilloscope with high hopes. Alas, when it arrived and I tried to use it, the two biggest problems about this item presented themselves:1) The PC software, which is also available for MacOS is extremely basic. It covers the very basic functions you would expect for an oscilloscope and nothing more - there is way more they could have done from a software front end, but they didn’t. It’s very mouse driven and so if also slow to interact with.2) The inputs are not isolated! The ground of the probe is tied to the ground of the attached PC! This means you can only ever measure signals relative to ground, which might be OK in some circumstances, but it completely rules out so many more.On balance, I feel that this oscilloscope is extremely limited for its relatively high price.Would not recommend - in fact due to the lack of input isolation, I returned mine.

Hardware fine, software painful
Good luck finding good software. It's not compatible with SigRok tools, it's not compatible with OpenHANTEK, and the one Python GitHub project claiming compatibility with oss scope software doesn't work. The provided software is usable but I get the feeling I'm going to have to write my own HAL and that wasn't what I spent £250 for. The update rate with certain combinations of time base and voltage range can be very glitchy and slow when not triggering. You should probably buy a second hand oscilloscope with a screen, but it's hard to beat the convenient form factor this Hantek scope has.If the software improves significantly, or becomes open source, or the firmware becomes open source, I will probably increase my review to 5 stars. I would also appreciate some auto update mechanism in the scope software, but I get the feeling that this might be their only software release for this scope.
