Ball mount lost tension after a month
I have had 2 different cd phone mounts previously, I liked the look of this one because of the sleeker design and the fact that it doesn’t look like cheap plastic like the last one I purchased. For the first few weeks it was perfect, held my iPhone 7 Plus nicely and allowed me to still see the full video display for my back up camera. However just after a month (right after the return period) the ball mount lost all tension and no longer holds my phone up. So now the phone droops downward making it very difficult to see the phone screen and there is no way to adjust the tension to remedy this problem, therefore it’s now useless. I would not recommend.

Pretty good but doesn't quite fit my CD player
This is a decent product, but in my application it does not fit properly. I am able to use it, but only if I insert it at an angle into the CD player. This makes it not as stable as if it were inserted completely into the drive. I would like to see this model designed with a 1 handed operation, it is a bit cumbersome to attach and remove the phone. Other than that it looks good, and functions as intended. I will probably end up having to trim some of the edge off to allow it to fit completely into the drive.

Loving the simple, minimalist design...
I was drawn to the simple, minimalist design of this phone holder. I can use it right side up or upside down depending on the location of the air vents. The aluminum alloy feels sturdy, but I do handle it with care. I wanted to give it 5 stars, but sadly taking 1 star off for the ball-bracket head gets loose over time and doesn't hold the phone steady at the desired angle. If the ball-bracket head improves, I would love to purchase this again in the future. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with this purchase. I use this daily and it serves its purpose.

It Holds My iPhond Well
The holder works well in our Honda CR-V. It pretty much takes two hands to install and remove my iPhone from the holder to avoid pulling the holder out of the CD slot. That takes about three seconds. Once the phone is installed it does a great job of holding it steady.

Great stability and placement
I love that the claw part of the holder sits up above the actual mount so I can actually see the audio screen on my dashboard. Other mounts sat where my phone covered the screen and I had to move/remove the phone to see defeating the whole purpose of being hands free. It has a good grip and is super simple to install.

It looks great in my Audi
I bought this for the simplistic, modern design. It looks great in my Audi. The phone clamp works well and extra arm to adjust the height/angle of the phone is an extra convenience. Once adjusted, it holds the phone steady even on bumpy roads.
